High yielding grow setups

When trying to figure out yield, it's best to look at the wattage of the lights, not the number of plants. Light, is the limiting factor, basically. Experienced growers are usually near the 1 gram per watt, range, whereas the newer guys are usually in the 1/2 gram per watt, area. So, if you go with 1000 watts, you can typically expect about 500 grams,(a lb. is 454 grams) if everything goes okay.

Are you set on hydro supermoto? I do a high yield soil grow that is very simple with a little practice. Download the Introduction chapter of Weed Science (link at the bottom of this post) or click on the Grow Lab thread below.

If you want to research this method please post in the Grow Lab thread.

one grow i did,12 plants yielded 220 grams dry, another grow with 15 plants gave me 340 grams dry. my grow in a 5x5 x8 room, big enuf to put 20, 3gal buckets, soil, lite is a 400 hps, learn how to take cuttings and clone. start with 10 clones, breed ur own for seed, plant 10 seedlings, get a 50-50 split there and you have 15 plants. sometimes as u kno, ur male to female ratio will be good ,sometimes not. I always take my cuttings from seeded plants, clones dont seem to have the same vigor. athough I get some decent tops off some clones. once a year Ill breed a few branches for seed. Good Growin

Im just browsing for a grow setup right now b/c I was just approved for medical marijuana and im waiting for health canada to finalize it and give me my mmar card and then I will know how many plants I will be allowed. Im thinking its going to be fifteen but it might only be ten.

Also I was trying to pick a strain to grow but after looking at numerous different seed companies and seeds Im starting to feel overwhelmed lol.

So any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I was also wondering how hard it would be to grow a couple different strains at once. Im kinda new to growing so I dont know if it would be too complicated or not.

My Deepwater Culture setup cost me a total of about $400 for everything and produces about 500 Grams every 2 months from a single plant with 600 watts of HPS. I really haven't found a better cheaper method yet.

Looks fine, but I bet they used the cheapest quality shit they could find. In any case you could build that for yourself for a fraction of the price for that system. I will say they aren't charging you too much of a markup (that ballast looks like junk). I was expecting them to want closer to 2 grand for that. Typically premade hydro systems are much more of a rip off. If you aren't mechanically inclined then buy that (see if they'll sell it without that ballast). FYI with that style of setup you really can't do super large plants since they'll be growing right up on top of each other. Also plants from seeds grow at different growth rates so that might be a cause of issues down the line. Lastly, those net pots can't support a crap load of weight. Anytime I've seen a large plant grown in one of those net pot based system those plants eventually fall through the net pot holes in the system.

My last gripes come from the fact that the lighting of that system is designed to light the plants on the sides. The middle area of a HID light is where you get the most bang for your buck in terms of lighting.

Yeah when I was looking at aeroponic setups I was going to build it myself but that deepwater culture looks like it works great so im kinda looking into those now.

I Can throw 8 plants under 2 600w and produce more than that :) get THE OXYPONIC SET FROM StealthHydro.com
