Higher Yields?

Interested In taking next step to higher yieds. First let me tell you about my complete current setup:

Lighting: two 400 watt HPS and one 600 watt HPS/MH Dimmable.

Grow Space: 12 ft in length - 3 feet wide - 4.5 feet in height.

Flat White Walls

Nutes: Fox Farm (Grow Big,Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom)-Supplements (Open Sesame, Beastie Bloom, Cha Ching)- Use Shooting Powder 3 weeks before Harvest as well as Molasses throughout flowering cycle-
Two new products have been introduced that I don't use and maybe should (Microbe Brew, Kangaroots).

Soil: Happy Frog-Bat Guano-Worm Castings-Perlite

Temps: Consistant 72-78

Humidity: 50% (sometimes 60%)

PH: No problem (in range)-use well water

Fans: 2 oscillating

Pots: Start in 1.5 Gallon - Finish in three Gallon pots (I also cover each drainage hole with a small rock to slow down drainage a little) - Use drip trays as resevoire (although I do not leave standing water) - airate (sp) soil every 2 weeks.

Grow: Clones - 6 strains that are rotated but rooted using an oxycloner (get mass initial root growth) - 40 days in veg (because of height constraints) -light 18/6 - 8 weeks flower/Indica and 10 weeks for
Sativa - light 12/12

Start flush 10-14 days before harvest and wind down mollasses last week - End Watering - 2-3 days dark before harvest.

I've growm as many as 16 (with alot of TLC and alot of turning and moving) - Usual number about 12.

Indica Size: 3 feet

Sativa Size: 4.5 feet

Yield: 1.5 oz per plant

Any advice would be apprecited. I don't want to change things up too much. I know obviousy how you can increase yields, more light, different strains (which I might be interested in), perhaps different nutes and so on.

1.5 per plant in 3's is pretty good in my opinion. You could try flushing only for 7 days instead of 14, giving your plants another week of possible growth. Honestly, as you mentioned the only thing you can do is add more light/co2/nutrients/water.

Actually I flush closer to 10 days!

With organics you really only need to flush for like 3 days, so it's possible you could cut it down even more if you wanted. Organic nutrients don't build up like salt-based synthetics. We use and love House & Garden nutrients which although are not organic, are also not salt-based. The company reps are adamant that you don't even need to flush, but when people make a deal about it out of their habitual nature they go ahead and tell them to flush for 1-3 days but it's really not necessary according to H & G.

get multiples on my AK
Longer veg & lst training (will give you multiple main colas), bigger pots maybe
I already get multiples with my Ak and Super Lemon Skunk Haze and my Sativa's. My Purple Kush and Bagdad sometimes do. I haven't really tried to train although I know it is an option. Again longer veg does me not good because of height constraints and likewise that is why I don't think it would matter if I go to 5 Gallons. Thanks for the advice!

My basic Fox Farm Products are Organic but the supplements are not (as well as the shooting powder).

Probably could shorten it some!

Hey man. What I would recommend for you is doing a scrog. I see someone else mentioned LST but scrog is LST on steroids. You will be able to maximize your grow area much more then you are now. Not only will this help you increase your yeild but this will also help you with your height restraints. Keep us posted on what u decide to do. STAT HIGH!!!

The 2 keys to the deal are training-style and type of strain...otherwise bigger lights and more plants. And obviously, a grow without issues.
You train it to maximize lumens and pick a strain that can yield and you will notice a big difference

Best place to get info on doing a scrog? Thanks in advance.

I'm familiar with the benefits but again is there a reputable place to get accurate info so I don' butcher my plants. Still trying to find that strain with superior quality and substantial yield (Like Everyone). Ideas?

I knew that was a piece I was missing. Think I have solid environment. Substantially different Yields? If so I'll do it tomorrow. Thanks PC.
If your environment is dialed in and your plant nutrients and health are good then you can get 15-30% more yield with Co2.

Also, if you can control the heat then look into UVB supplemental lighting. I have added a bunch to my room (reptisun UVB 10.0 bulbs) and they will add a few degrees but the difference in resin production is very noticeable.

Topping, Scrog, LST are probably your best bets and there is plenty of info on this site. They all work and these plants are tough! The one I haven't tried which I will try next is scrog. I've seen people kick my ass with the same strain and a lower wattage light on several different threads and frankly I'm tired of it.

As far as strains yield, there are some specialty big producers...critical, big bud ect. But in reality, it comes down to what you are looking for in a high...then finding one that yields well with in those contstraints. Personally, I will sacrifice some yield if the high is killer and I also prefer the sativa end. I'm eyeballing sannie's jack for my next round (haven't grown it yet), but aside from the alledged quality of being a great Jack IBL pheno, it's purporting 750g/sqm which is higher than most sativa doms. I wouldn't just go off that, but i heard it yields and smokes well also. I may ditch that one, but I've created a short list and I'm not saying that is the one is for you, but that's how I start to look at it when picking a new one.
