I just got one and I haven't seen anybody here using one yet. Their 25% off sale was too much temptation to resist, still running through the 28th btw. Thought I would show some of its features.

Well packed, of course, but I have yet to receive a light that was poorly packed.20231014_153122.jpg

The fixture is easily the lightest bar light I've seen, not counting the driver20231014_155727.jpg
Nice driver with 2 annoying features: one is the dangling dimmer. All my other lights have a knob mounted on the driver, maybe someone likes this but not me. The other issue is the short cord to the light. HLG sells this extension separately and they include hardware to mount the driver to the light but the installation instructions warn that if you do so you void etl certification! I will cough up for the extension cord but for now I poked a hole in my tent roof and put the driver up there. Not hugely pleased. Strangely the included power cord can power 2 lights, so you'd need 2 extension cords. I see a pattern here.20231015_093939.jpg
The hanging hardware included is okay but I used straps to get it as close to the tent ceiling as possible. I could get it a couple inches closer if I had 3 hands.20231014_162749.jpg20231015_102810.jpg
It's very bright!20231015_110515.jpg
Here are photone ppfd readings for my previous light, a Phlizon pH-B8, also a 650w fixture. Center and corner at 12 inches:Screenshot_20231015_082523_Photone.jpgScreenshot_20231015_082533_Photone.jpg
And here are the same readings from the Tomahawk:Screenshot_20231015_095224_Photone.jpgScreenshot_20231015_095210_Photone.jpg

Looks pretty good to me and the tent should run cooler than the Phlizon which has a integrated driver that can't be removed from the grow space.

Overall, pretty pleased with this light so far obviously time and a 5 year warranty will tell. Happy growing!

Nice light, looking forward to see how she does. Her spectrum looks close to the Diablo X too! I'm looking forward to seeing you knock it out of the park.

I wanted to add about the reflectors/heatsinks added to each bar of diodes. They are quite thin powdercoated aluminum, shaped to promote an even spread. I appreciate the way they shield the diodes from direct line of sight, making it much easier to work around, even if your light is hanging at or above eye level.

Looks like they copied the Chilled driver for this particular light. Almost exactly the same as my 600. Having the driver outside the tent is much better. I believe they are switching to this driver method so you can use the A/C Infinity controller for multiple lights. Same thing Chilled is doing.

Yes, but they should supply the required cord for remote driver mounting. I never intended the driver to be inside the tent. I just ordered the cord from their site, 6 dollars plus 12 dollars shipping. I sent them a warm and friendly email! It's not even included as an addon when you put the light in your cart.

You should have called first. They may actually ship for free. Worth a try. I always call when I have a question or problem. They always fix me right up and save me $$
I have an older 550 Rspec and wanted to remote mount the driver, they did not have the cords I needed, BUT, they sent me an e-mail with information on where to get all the parts/cord/connectors I needed and instructuctions on how to do it. Can't beat that for cust. serv.

They are sending a cord expedited. It's fine. I'm pulling the trigger on a second one while the sale is still on. I'm in a newly legal state, everyone wants to buy my old lights from me asap!
