Well my stealth PC case is pretty much complete, just working on perfecting my filter and temp settings. Figured I'd germ a couple of bag seeds and give this case a go. For more details on my PC Stealth Case check out my other thread... https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/145530-first-grow-micro-pc-cfl.html

Right now I'm 9 days into the grow including 24 hour of seed germination. I used the wet paper towel and two plates on top of my satellite receiver method. The two seeds both cracked and a tap root appeared within 24 hours.

I decided to go with a soil grow to start which I think should be the easiest for a raised from birth vegetable gardener like my self. I would have loved to use some of our great soil for growing but its currently under 6" of snow.

So I had to settle with what our local Home Depot had. It seems all they had were brands with time release nutrients, I chose the one with the least amount of nutrients, Schultz Potting Soil Plus "0.08-0.12-0.08"

While the seeds germinated I prepared two plastic beer cups for soil. I poked holes all around the bottom. I then washed the cups throughly and put in approx 1/4" of small stones to help with drainage. I then added in the soil and gave it a good watering to sit in my case for the first 12 hour light cycle with no seeds in it.

Now after the 24 hour germ period I poked a small hole in the soil approx 1/2" down and placed the seed with the tap root down into the hole. I lightly covered the seed with the soil in the cup and put it back in the case for its first 12 hours.

I gave the seeds two days on the 12/12 cycle before opening the case to check to see if they needed water. Much to my surprise one of my seeds has already broken through the surface and is starting to develop.

Now for the much anticipated pictures...

That would be day one of the two seeds in the case.

Another shot of the case

and here's a pic of "Antheia" at day 9 of 12/12

Any comments suggestions feel free to post.

Well as promised, my weekly update... Here's a few pictures of Antheia, I decided to give up on Persephone as there has been no growth at all after germination. Now all my focus is going to be on Antheia.

Comments always welcome!

Thats neat.
But uhm, your going to hate it when the plant grows up too much and starts getting burned..
