hollow stalk on my jack herer

i had this beautiful jack herer right near the end of flowering. around 60% of the trichromes are amber but about a week ago i noticed the leaves starting to dry up so today when it was time for them to wake up ( lights came on) i was shocked to see that it almost looked dead except for the buds look absolutely awesome. so i chopped her down and noticed that the main stalk was hollow. ive read some things that have me going in all directions. i know its not pests or bugs but ive read that some strains do this, this is a sign of potency, this is normal life, etc. she was flowering for around 70 days i planned to harvest her in about 2 weeks anyways and stopped giving nutes a week and a half ago. did i cause this or was this normal? first time ive had this happen and this is my first jack herer grow. i have 4 jack clones and a fabulous jack mother and they look very healthy. heard this is a very good strain for medical purposes ( i am a legal michigan patient by the way) so im gonna try this stuff out. i just wished that more tricrhomes were ambered. any suggestions or pointers or comments on this ? oh btw indoor grow. 360w hid all organic. doing the general hydronics nutes.( first time with these and they seem good)

Ihave a couple jacks that i run in with my white widow and have for the last year or so. i love it and it really goes good with the widow. its an 8 week strain for me as well as the widow so you at 70 days may have went acouple weeks toooo long. if you look at the trichs after it is dry and cured you'll probly notice that more are amber than before. 60% is about right anyway unless you like the couchlock bud alot. i like the energetic high myself

From my understanding, the stalks are hollow because I'm sure u used a hydroponic system?! When the plant grows hydroponicaly, the plant dosent have to work as hard to push nutes up the plant, making super highways basicly, I would take it as a GOOD sign, no need to worry, use it as a straw! :) by the. Way I have. A. Jack that is about. 2 weeks from chop, just click my link in signature

thanks for the info guys. wishi could get me some widow seeds. ot these jacks from my neph that is a legal caretaker. hell he gave me about 50 seeds all feminized of coarse but it takes tooooo long from seed i would rather clone. also just germed some dj shorts blueberry. these seeds look awesome. they have bluish tint to them. 3 out of 4 germed and are about a week old. its hard to do some things in michigan tho because you can only have 12 plants and germinating seeds are included in this but im trying to get on a least an every 15 days harvest cycle which i think im gtting close im getting 21/2 - 3 oz from harvesting clones within11weeks from rooting.

a hollow stalk is a desired trait that is seeked out by breeders. its a good thing. i have had one that i could easily stick a pencil inside.

when plants grow outdoors the stems are solid, for some reason not so indoors, maybe wind and all that...if i went downstairs now and chopped a branch i could drink through em
