i have a homebox xl, the specs on it is 4x4x6'7. i am looking at two reflectors the yield master 2 or a cool tube. does anyone have any experience withthese? it will be a 600watt. i was told all i will need is a can/carbon fan filter combo? is this true? will this get rid of hot air and rotate in fresh air?? what will be the easiest way to do this? will it keep my temps down? could i just get away with cooling my light and elimanting the smell, by just throwing in two regula fans?

I am basically doing the same thing with the homebox xl. I will be doing 1 hortilux 600 watt hps with an adjust-a-wing reflector, a 6in Vortex inline/exhaust fan connected to a OrganicAir carbon filter, I have 2 20lb co2 tanks to throw in the mix, Foxfarm Soil with 10% perlite for drainage, and Foxfarm Nutrients, growing 12 Plants, first time grower.

I would look into the Adjust-A-Wing Reflectors I have read they give great results. Also, a vortex inline/exausht fan 4in or 6 in should be fine to keep your grow room cooler. Also, as far as smell get a carbon filter or an ozone generator. Hepa Air Purifiers are cheap and also help a bit while killing bacteria in your grow space. Keep us updated with how it goes.

I would say go with the cooltube because its lighter. Keep in mind the total wieght of everything you want to hang in there carbon filter/fans/etc. I put a radient 6 in my homebox XL and the wieght of just the reflector alone made me feel uneasy about the strength of the poles. I know it says it can carry a good amount of wieght but i dont want to burn my apartment down for a refund and apology from homebox.

Its safer to use 2 fans but you could do filter-fan-air cooled light-exhuast but again you would have to hang your everything in your box. Maybe think about useing an odor sok instead of the heavy carbon filters. Im not sure how great the odor soks work though I read alot of mixed reviews.

Good luck with your tent
Also If your haveing problems cleaning the vents on the bottom I use a piece of duct tape to grab all the dust and stuff off like one of those tape lint rollers.
