yup, just dug the hole, layed down strong chicken wire inside the hole for some strength, then mixed quickrete and formed the walls, then once the walls were formed it left a good spot in the bottom to make a slightly runnier mix to just pour in the bottom. Smooth it all out and let it dry...you can add the rocks into the concrete before it drys, or once it dries, just mix up some mortar and slap it on there and add the rocks...once the rocks are in the mortar, you may wanna take some sand and throw it over it all to fill in the cracks between the rocks so you dont see the mortar as much, kinda makes it look better....then once it all dries just brush off the excess sand and there you go...pretty simple...my next step is to get a spray on or paint on black liner to spray on the inside to top it off and just assure its not gonna leak....been a fun lil project....lots of trial and error till we got it all right, but here is a site that helped me out...good luck and happy concretin...lol...just use gloves and dont learn the hard way like i did..LOL http://www.tadege.com/concreteponddiy.htm

built a filter for the pond tonight....if anyone wants some ideas or tips on a DIY filter let me know cause i have a good link that will help too...i looked at Lowes and its like 30 bucks for a filter and this only cost like 5 or 6 to make it yourself, so definately worth it!!!
