Honey instead of molasses

So I have been reading up on this molasses deal and was wondering if molasses is the only product people use in this fashion. Is it at all possible to use say honey or syrup instead of molasses and has anyone ever tried it? Also when are you supposed to start feeding this supplement to the plant, how far into flowering? I want to say I am about a month and a half into flower and don't know if I should try out some molasses. Thanks for any help.

i've been using molasses on my flowering plants..
It's packed w/ carbs,magnesisum iron & potassium
wouldnt use honey for many diff reasons..
the molasses w/ a good flowering fertilizer seems to cover most the essential nutrients your plants need plus the carbs are supposed to make your buds more meaty..
breyer rabbit blackstrap molasses i picked it up at my local grocery store..

Fatness, possibly. Smell/taste, yes.

Many growers who don't have the knowledge of these types of sites, and research and discussion on cultivation, use many odd methods. One big one is honey. Alot have told me their, or their friends, secret to growing is once flushed, water once with 1 tblsp honey / 1 gallon water. Old time trick.

Honey will work well yes, but blackstrap molasses definitely takes the cake, and is one of the true "secrets" of growing.

Brand = Brer Rabbit
Type = Blackstrap Molasses

Trust me, blackstrap is preferred. Any brand should work, but I've heard lots of good things about Brer Rabbit, so it's what I use.

Also, if you get molasess, do yourself a favor and make sure you've got a turkey baster you can use as well. The molasses doesn't mix well with the water, and using hot water takes time too cool. Bubble the water with the baster near the molasses and it'll mix in no-time.

P.S.- Any grocery store should be able too accomodate your molasses needs, just look in the syrup aisle. Black looking bottle with a purple bordered label. And you guessed it, a wabbit on the front.

1 tblsp molasses / 1 gallon water

P.S.S.- You can use molasses throughout the growing season as soon as you've begun nuting. I personally use it 2 week into flower up until the chop. Many people do it their own way for their own reasons.
