A study was done in the 70's on cannabis sativa and how it was affected by the application of auxin, a plant hormone.

from what i've read and researched, at a young age (up to 4th nodal leaf) one can apply auxin regularly and have a much higher female count than male. The application of this hormone on male growth sites led to the budding of female flowers. Is this all accountable? should i try this?

I would think it would be easier, and simpler just to cut a few clones. But it would make for a good read if you try it.

Feminized seeds give 99.9% females(clones give even higher %). Cheap, effective, safe, etcetera, etcetera.

With regards to the validity of this study, I'm not interested in commenting on. So no, if you have a choice between F-seeds and this method, do not attempt it.

i understand that, however this hormone also induces lateral growth and root development. also it encourages water retainment. it is a very good supplement. this year i lack the money for feminized seeds but this is still a good alternative for newer growers i think.
