find anything m8?
I did. I bought 3x 240 watt luma b4 with citizen 1212s laid put like this(4k 3k 4k 3k)
540usd or 750cad delivered to my door no shipping cost.

Going to try 2 plants under those in a 4x8 section

1 plant under a 600 watt hps in a 4x4

And have asked hortibloom to send me a solo600 watt or mega b4 to test out for my 4th plant (fingers crossed)

And going to keep a grow journal. Should be fun

(And am going to be building a quantum board over the next 3 months to add to my experiments)

That sounds promising! May I ask what made you choose that combination?

sounds like it should penetrate really well, I'm excited to see

Long answer. I'm looking at a 8x8 tent as 4 sections for 4 plants.

My Sister gave me her old tent and 600 watt open ended fixture with 600watt digital balast and 4x4 tent (and a one grow mh and brand new super hps)

When weed became legal I had a bought a 8x8 tent and didnt set it up 2 years ago.

My plan was grow 1 indoors and 3 outdoors. Alberta has such long days 16 hours of sun in August and September so unless u have an auto or the right strain u won't flower properly.

So I figured what would be the best bang for my buck in doors. Can I really afford 4 QBs or 4 cmh lights to cover an 8x8 tent effectively. Answer is no not without paying out the ass

-Megab4 or a hlg quantum board or is only gonna do a 4x4 section. And cost around 700 to 1500 Canadian for a Chinese to name brand qb setup. Plus shipping on top

-cermaic metal halide fixture is around 500plus Canadian the cost of a 100 dollar Philips bulb replaced every year plus added heat, equals more fans and environmental controls equals more money)

-3x luma with 4 citizen 1212 per board with full spectrum is (750cad delivered)
Since tent is reflective with the luma I could start from wall
2 feet x luma x 2 feet x luma x 2 feet x luma x 2 feet to wall giving me enough overlap to keep par even and lights bright enough for a 4x8 section
Doing 2 plants.

Leaving me my best performer in veg to use as a mother for clones in 4x4 tent or convince one of these Chinese companies to let me test another light for my last 4 foot section.

I pulled the trigger and bought 2 of these with the Samsung 301b 3k, shipped for $650. These lights are crushing it, I was using cxb3500 with a mix of 3k and 3500k. Pistel length on the buds are twice the length with the b4 as I'm doing a side by side comparison at day 45. I'm expecting way more yield, the spectrum seems to be balls on. I'll be selling 3000w in cxb and veros and upgrading.

Is that the only spectrum you guys have? As Geyapex didnt they have a burple?
If you guys are using osram w/ HE bar design, have you considered attempting to beat Epistars-leds rgb / burpleish lighting whom claims they will out perform/yeild you by an easy 45% min. ?
HydroGow is selling lights based on outperforming yours or anything like it. Is this true? A burple light using Epi-whaters & China drivers will double your yeilds.
If so, how come we're just hearing about it now.?

Thanks for purchasing our lights and would you like to share some photos, our team really want to see that, and please let me know if any question during use, which will help us improve this light, thanks in advance.

Of course we can use only red and blue bruple light configuration, or any customized spectrum on our light, that's easy. But as for the yields, did HydroGrow really say that? out perform by 45% easily? that seems like a joke...We can do different spectrum, different led brand, different led array, different configuration, but we won't say that, burple light is also good, but not so effective as before, especially comparing to high output white leds whose spectrum is constant with full spectrum. Also the PPF of burple light is not outstanding, not even to say double yields, there is no secret on led grow lighting market, people can find drivers, top brand diodes with top bins, any configuration on market, many growers are even more professional than factories, so it's not good to use exaggerate marketing, people are not fool...

HGL says you can top brand it all out & because you have multiple inferior guessed-spectrums they will easily outyield you by 40% if not more using 80-85% efficient China Drivers & Epi's. That's allot. I just thought you'd wanna know as your potential clientele may be swaying in that direction with unanswered claims like that flying around.
Maybe challenge them to a side by side?
Of course you & her would have to get a grower willing to accept your models & offer a fair, equal, non-biased side by side.
Good Luck!

Challenge HydroGrowLED? hahaha, nonon...not worth that, our solo series cob led grow light which was released in 2015 is much better than them, their penetrator x was actually designed in 2011 when I ever worked with her for a while, after 8 years, the product didn't change, even the diodes they use are still old technology, they're not our competitor, what we aim for is Fluence and Gavita, Amare.

I hear you. Although her 6 yr old tech is doing pretty well against the latest HE Board by HLG @ 1.2 umol/j. Must be the spectrum cuz its not much light per watt.
She has new design coming out this month which will make her your competitor as well.
I own the Bar-8 & will have the new RGB HGL boards. They're going up against each other along with HLG. If you want to show your fixture can hang then here's your chance.
Lmk!

How much is she paying you? Or how many lights is she giving you to act just like she was spamming her lights? I used to enjoy reading what you posted up until you sold your self for a free light.

Oh really ? that's good news! New product is always welcome on market, actually back to 8 years ago, HGL really lead the way on market like current HLG, but then they failed to make improvement on products, hope this time they will make some surprise.

Only stating what's going on man.
I am an Amare man myself.
These Hortiblooms are nice. I like them & is why i thought they'd wanna piece.
No, i really don't need anymore lights & would've suggested another grower do the testing. Ive had enough of doing things anyway but on my own time.
I dissapoint Amare with lack of updates n stuff . Already overwhelmed.

Yeah, so you know, youre right, no improvements till now. I too hope for the best as we can all gain from it if it works out that way. That's my main interest, spectrum.
Nice Bar fixture man!
