You don't need bloom boosters, save your money. Focus on maintaining a proper full fertilizer with good npk ratios.

I would prefer to get the growth. The way it works is not just P K boosting. It is the most obvious spurt of growth that any single product I have ever used can offer. It is NOT a waste of money. Have you used it?

Have any forum member done comparison grows to test the results?

Personally I find all the 'ADVANCED NUTRIENTS' type stuff to be based more on advertising (and gimmicks) than on any real results.

But i'd be willing (and happy) to be proved wrong.
Who wouldn't want a miracle solution to add 50% extra bud to his plants....?

I'll believe it when I see the results of an independent comparison test grow.

Another thing that makes me sceptical -
Most of the really experienced growers, the advanced method growers, on this forum DON'T recommend any of these high priced, miraculous growth solutions.
They recommend learning and practise and common sense.

Everyone wants a magic bullet. One thing these manufacturers know, there is a sucker born every minute.

I just don't see any need for expensive additives. Tried a lot over time and actually get best results with simple gh flora 3 part and calmag. If I was going to add something it would be benificial bacteria, and only if fighting a problem. Never need them so I don't waste the cash.

I pay a lot for Rhizotonic but it's for shocked roots - It's not an additive, per se, It's a biological sedative, I suppose...?
But, at £25 for 1 litre, it better do something!

It's interesting to me that there is a groupthink here whereby people know I am just wasting money on something they know nothing about. No offense, but it is foolish to dismiss based on presumptions. The product works, I have used it many times and I would love to somehow show you but that is not happening. The bottom line is that I want more weed and I get what I want. I heard this all before about Silica, bennies, and fulvic acid and in time the skeptics would come around. What people need is to be fair and objective or they are the suckers.

Its simply PK and Calcium with sulfur, I don't see why using this beats simply providing a healthy diet. This type of thing throws shit outta proportion.

Its not some solve all is my point.

so it works... how and why?
It sends the plant back to an earlier time in the flowering cycle hormonally. The second wave of active and rapid growth occurs very quickly.....pistils emerge, flowers thicken, and the density increases dramatically. Their formula is proprietary so the exact chemistry I do not know but, I don't need it here. I am not trying to sell you on this but rather see if there is anyone else who knows what I am talking about here. I hope that answers your question.

I never said it was a solve all....I said it works well. I am no beginner and would take the pepsi challenge any day.....you can take it or leave it, but you should have at least tried it to comment about it.

I've used it. Used the whole H&G line under 100000+ Watts of light. It's interesting stuff. Almost creates a second budding cycle.

... and what is this based on? Sounds like an ad, their website doesn't claim that and the ingredients listed wouldn't do that.

Not looking for shit, just wondering why people seen to "believe" things which simply aren't true.

Doing a large PK drop isn't necessarily the best thing at all. P isnt needed in high amounts and shouldn't be so outta whack with the N and K. K doesn't need to be super high either. Its important for flower but shooting powder doesn't even use potassium nitrate, which is more effective in flower.

I have. Sort of. I got comped a box by the rep at a show this summer. Have used it through one cycle. Used it on about a quarter of the plants. I cannot say definitively as I have a few factors in motion. Plan on doing a bit more testing now that I have settled down to fewer strains of homogeneous phenos. My overall impression was that the Shooting Powder did give a noticeable boost to new growth. Used it the last two weeks, .5t / gallon (this is the orange powder in packettes, right?) It was particularly noticeable on plants that tended to have the pistils turn orange early. You could clearly see a burst of new white pistilled growth that the untreated ones did not have near as much of.

I wasn't really trying to prove anything at the time. Just wanted to give it a try and not overload PK as I was using it on top of a complete line. But I was pleasantly surprised. My scientific method was not very tight but I feel pretty secure about my conclusion. I'll buy it again when I run out depending on what happens this time around.

Edit. Not what I would call miraculous. I agree that concentrating on the basics is good. I have about 49 harvests under my belt without them and one with. Expect marginal improvements at best.
