How are these baby buds looking?

4 days after germination and 2 days after being moved from the pellet greenhouse and into the planter.

how do they look?

Just means that they are stretching a little to much to get their light. What kind of lights do you have, and how far away are they?

right now using 2 15 watt 550 lumens bulbs. But today the big boys are coming...600 watt HPS with ballast and reflector...

You'll be cool once you get your HPS, just don't put it to close and fry those babies. Cause right now that's really not efficient lighting.

How close should the HPS light be to the plants? Assuming I water daily of course..


Other than the fact that they looked stretched, how do they look? Do I see male already, or am I nuts?

yep your nuts jk but you wont be able to tell the diff between male or female for at least a few more weeks as for the light it depends on a couple factors so what i did was just have it 20 inches and if they still looks like they are stretching lower it if they start burnin raise it until you figure out your optimum height just watch them close

There are two pots, each one has one germination pellet and in each pellet there are 2 seeds.

those two sharing the pot. not a good idea. best to get them seperated now, rather than having intertwined roots later get light closer to them they are too tall for their thickness (or lack thereof)

How often should one be watering in this stage? I am kind of partial to using a spray bottle and lighting dusting the top with some water....

i kinda new to growing myself but i think the plants will strangle eachother or something

my friend just told me that he went to spray the pots with a little water and accidentally picked up windex and lightly spayed one of the plants...Did he just kill his crop?

your seedlings are looking great, cotyledens are out, and first bladed leaves are forming. And like smokingbot said, a little bit stretched. This is due to the fact you are using such a low output light. 1100 lumens is a little low, you should be running with at least 2500/SQ foot, 5000 is average, and 7500 will give the fastest growth possible. now you are gonna use a 600 W HPS, that is one of the best lights to use. 600 W HPS put's out 55,000 lumens, enough for up to 10 plants. This light should be kept about 2 feet away from the plants (24 inches), using how the plants react as your guide. If they start looking burnt, raise the light, and if they streatch a little bit, it can be lowered. just make sure the plants never touch the lights.
