how bad is the smell of 5 plants?

i have 4 clones, they are still small and are making hardly any smell.

i just want to know, how bad is the smell at all the life stages? they are upstairs, in a walk in closet, but a fan will be blowing air out of the closet while another blows in.

just wondering how strong the smell is, just so i know what to expect, and what to mask it with

I would look into a scrubber.

I would say your going to have a problem, how much of a problem depending on strain. I would invest mabye in a small scrubber. just my opinion.

IMHO, plant wont smell until mid to late flowering and drying if they smell at all.

Youll be cool for a while. mine are just coming into full bloom now and wreak to high heaven, but i am growing cheese and nl hazes, a scrubber is a carbon filter.

IMO a carbon filter with a good inline fan is a must, and is the first line of defence, my c/f is struggling a bit with my plants at the mo so im having to use some air fresheners around the place too.

Exactly! If i wasnt using my carbon filter my plants would be able to be sniffed out from down the road too, especially in summer with windows open, and i cant have that.

I would use a scrubber , I have 5 plants going in my growroom down stairs in my house and before I installed the scubber I could smell them upstairs in my bedroom .

Indicas tend to stink more than sativas during veg Once you hit flowering, though, be prepared for a knockout aroma! Either get yourself a good carbon air scrubber or a damned good air ionizer, and I ain't talking those crap Ionic Breezes.
