Hi guys... just need a bit of advice on my cuttings.... what size should they be before they are transplanted to their final pot..? at the mo mine are about 6 - 8 inches tall and are on a cycle of 20 on and 4 off.. Will probably be putting them onto a 24/24 light cycle as soon as they are transplanted for the final time..

Cheers for the help in advance...:clap:

Just have to keep your girls happy.Don't think there is set rules. It usually depends on how much grow space available. do they have a limit by state. If a plant is put in a big pot early thats good if you have the room

^As he said, there really is no set rule, other than that the plant should have roots.lol The main thing you have to worry about, is the soil staying damp for too long, in the bigger pot, due to the fact that small plants use little water. If your soil has really good drainage, you won't have any overwatering issues, no matter what size they are, when tranplanted. The lesser the drainage, the higher the risk.

i would say the most important thing is having an established root system. i personally use a 6x6 container for cuttings and wait until i see roots in the drain holes then transplant into a 5 gal container to finish. i used to use a 4 inch container but started using 6 inch when i switched to 5 gal containers to finish in. they both work. another thing is you shouldnt have to wait to switch the light schedule. you can give rooting clones 24 hrs from the start and they will be fine. i do this all the time and notice no difference in rooting time.
