How can I make Hash or butter!

I can grow dank with the best of them but when it comes to making hash I dont even know where to start. I sure do got alot of leaves though and would be hella cool to make something out of them instead of throwing them away all the time.

oh yea... I only know of 4 ways.

Butane hash - Use all popcorn nugs/ trim/leaves, and stuff it into a strong tube(glass/metal/plastic).

tube can be fist size to toilet paper roll size.

Cover bottom of tube with something and poke holes for drainage. The idea is to go to a smoke shop and buy butane for lighters.

Then literally spray it through the top somehow the whole can so it makes moisture and drips through. It will take all the thc to the bottom and drip into a bowl.

You must carefully evaporate the butane on a slightly warm surface, like top a fridge. NOT TOO HOT WILL EXPLODE.

DO THIS OUTSIDE OR VENTED DONT BREATHE IT OR LIGHT FLAMES. After it is evaporated should have hash oil.

Ice Hash - put trim/buds in mason jar with bunch of ice and ice water. Shake like gnarly and leave to separate. Repeat until gold at bottom and green at top.

Throw away green and dry gold to smoke.

Kief Hash - Collect a bunch of kief somehow. By shaking on screen grinding whatever. Put it all in a sandwich bag, get the bag warm with water on outside, carefully, and squish all hard with wood blocks between clamps.

Or press somehow.

Bubble Bag Hash - For this you have to by bubble bags for makin hash search it online but its dope put all herb in there and shake whatever follow instructions with bag, it makes good hash

Butter - I recommend using more shake/buds for butter, but basically grind up all your herb and mix with butter in a bowl. Then heat it all in a pan super fucking low and stir a lot until its greenish and don't let it smoke bubble steam a lot (PS I dont have much experience with butter so research it or be careful)

here man if u want a more easy way of doing it try this

  • 70% and above isopropyl alcohol, the highest I can find locally is 91%. The higher % the quicker it takes to evaporate the alcohol off
  • Pyrex or glass Dish, make sure it is flat so that you can scrape the hash off easier (note: the corners on that dish are a pain in the ass to scrape off with a razor blade as you can see :lol:)


  • Razor Blade (note: dirty w/ hash)
  • Mason Jars w/ lid
  • Paper Coffee Filters


    Pot (small enough so that your dish can sit on top of it)
  • Sugar Trim/ Buds (duh!)
Step 1- Take your buds or sugar trim and put them in your mason jar. You can fill them up as high as you want, just remember that the more you add in the jar the more alcohol you will have to use.

Step 2
- Take your mason jar filled with plant material and put it in the freezer along w/ the isopropyl alcohol in my case 91%. I like to let them sit in the freezer for about 5 hours to make sure everything is as cold as possible which is what we want.

Step 3- Now you will want to prepare the filter. You want to take off the lid but keep the threaded part. Put the coffee filter into the top and then screw the threaded part over it to hold it securely. The picture below will explain a lot better





Step 4- Alright here is the important step. Remove the cold alcohol and plant material from the freezer. You want to add the alcohol to jar just enough to cover the material. Now you want to put on the lid and shake vigorously for 30-45 seconds. I prefer 30 seconds as it gives a less runny end product

Step 5- Now after shaking dump the contents of the jar into the coffee filter jar to filter out all the solids. You will be left with a green/golden liquid (it takes some time to filter it all through) in the bottom of your mason jar.

Step 6- Dump the golden green liquid into your glass dish. Rest this dish on top of your pot that is filled w/ boiling water. This will act as a double boiler to evaporate all of the alcohol leaving you w/ sticky brown/black hash. You will need your razor blade now to scrape off all the sticky goodness

This isn't my picture but this is what the double boiler should look like to give you an idea


This is what the end product should look like, it is very brown when spread out on the dish but once scraped together it turns a shiny black color. I use a razor blade to cut off small pieces to add on top of bowls
