Is there any other way too tell besides the stems? What happens if you trimmed off all the stems and have it placed in a big net?

squeeze it. depending on the humidity(40-50%) it takes about 5 days of drying
Well lets say I have it in a closet and when I placed them into room, it was close to 60% humidity in the room with my hyrdometer. Now The room is about 53% humidity. It seems the room humidity is going down because the buds are drying up. Am I correct or mistaken here. Will the humidity in the closet go down farther or will it stay the same? Can I tell with the humidity in the closet if its close too finish drying? I bet not!

unless you have a shit load in that closet they are not going to affect the humidity much. give them 5 to 7 days and squeeze them.

it would take 2 lbs to change the humidity in a closet. when the smaller popcorn buds feel cripsy jar them up and the larger buds will re-hydrate them. just wait about about 5 day to be sure.

I read something in a magazine (a review about a strain) and the cure time was something like 6 or 8 weeks. They did note though that they "Were glad they let it cure longer." Whats up with that?

Two things. How was it not too dry? Is that why the bud looked like it got dropped in a keef dish?

Thanks guys.

Go with your gut and trust the force. It's not good to trim before you dry. Affects taste and high of final product.
