How Close To Harvest? Almost Week 9

Hey all, its my first grow so im wondering when the best time to harvest my plant would be. On wednesday will be 9 weeks into flowering. I flushed her again today. My plan was too have the last flush today, and keep the regular 12/12 lighting schedual until wednesday, after giving 48 hours (thursday and friday) of total darkness to spice up the resin build.

My Problem is that I start school Thursday and ive been doing the lights manually, i dont have a way to get a timer.

Question: Is it looking ready to be harvested on saturday if i give it 48 hours of darkness before harvest?

Well I can tell you, whether you take it right now or 2 weeks from now, you will be happy. It's good enough if your in a rush or wait and get a cheap magnifier to check the trichs. Either way you'll be happy with it.

Keep going until the plant pulls more notes out of the fan leaves. They will get more yellow an die
Flush for another week. It still hasn't done its final plump yet IMO

no way for a timer? dude i got one for 2.99 at a simple barghain store, but i did buy loads of em incase one fails on me.

It looks over done to me. I bet if you put a scope on it you will have over 50% amber trichs.

You didn't mention the strain. What is it?

I have grown for over 20 years and really don't understand the over mature trend these days.

Yea i dont understand either when people say u want 50% amber when i see amber in my garden its timeto chop

You are at school for over 12 hours? If so just change the 12/12 to 5pm to 5am. They look good enough to harvest if you want to they will continue to get better with a great cure. Good luck:hump:

As mentioned...a 30-60X magnifier won't lie. You can eyeball it but why bother when you can get it bang on for $20.

thanks all, I've got a good timer now, my jewlers loupe is old but does the job just doesn't say the magnification.
Im going to continue with her until next weekend for the harvest

You are a fucking idiot dude. He mentioned no amber till after my post. He did say that he is all cloudy with a few clear. That is just past prime and I would still call overdone for my preferences. I like more 50 - 50 clear and milky.

I guess I hit a nerve with you. Maybe you are one of the ones that like to over mature your shit?

Why is everyone is angry? Depends on the strain of course and the kind of high that you're looking for.

IMO when I leave my plants go for extra time

1. They weigh a bit more (but nothing too crazy)
2. They're more of a body high almost like a narcotic (most people will say this is because the trichs are darker) *others will say this deteriorates the quality of trichs

when I harvest a bit early it is much more of a head high. Which I am not a huge fan of personally.

Some know-it-all around the forum (I believe his name was like Brick or something) says that at the first sign of amber trichs you should harvest because it is deteriorating the THC. I think hes full of poopoo :sleep:

Either way your going to absolutely love it! and it looks delicious especially for someone without a timer :lol:. Nicely done for your first time.
