The spectrum mj plants emit is different from natural foliage & the buds hold in heat longer than natural foliage making them visable in the early dusk hours , however FLIR & spectrums isnt what zero's cop's into a guerrilla grow , it's allways human error , some error's have been pointed out by other members while other error's have not , Mj plants are not naturally growing plants & do not share the same life cycle as most forest plants , come september all tree leaves are turning red & bushes are defoliating & wild grasses are dying off , the only thing thats a healthy green color is mj , your best defense is to stagger the plants with only like 1 plant every few acres of land . an acre is only 208 ft x 208 ft so from above the tree tops the foliage within a10 acre area is easily disected by the human eye , stagger the plants & use multiple plots .

Other shit that draws attention is freshly moved soil & planters mix , perlite glows like a mo fo , trash & debris too , beating a single path to the grow is a road map , cop's aren't stupid about where to look , they'll start a search where water is in easy reach & off road parking is available then work out from there in grids & what they are looking for is mj patches where they can grab alot of plants at 1 time , staggering the plants over a wide area makes them less attractive for cop's to go after because it's added work load .

If you plant 20 plants within a 30 acre area it's highly unlikely you'll get popped even if they are spotted , just use your head & dont get greedy , brag or have partners .

For the most part unless you have a huge field and all in one spot you have nothing to worry about. Your concern is mostly animals/bugs or someone happening across your crop. Spreading them out in clumps of 2-3 is about the best I found over the years. Unless you are close to a military base, you probably don't need to worry about choppers, cops aren't going to rent choppers and pilots to look for pot plants unless they've been tipped and even then it's be cheaper for them to go in by ground. Reason I mentioned the military base is I lived with my backyard going into a military base for years where it was all bush. In the fall, around harvest time, you'd see the choppers do daily fly-by's and they worked with the OPP in that base, no real cost to them (military) as they're doing training anyhow. From the air, a "plantation" is easy to spot, spreading them out would avoid making the job easy for them. Plus I doubt they'd bother you if they spotted 2-3 plants. I'd spread them throughout my property and place them in spots that would be difficult to spot from the air, just in case. I've heard they can use infared in fly-by's to spot them, they claim the heat signature can be spotted, but have never been able to verify that. If so though, another good reason to spread them out. The easiest grows to spot are those where they plant 50-100 plants in a single area, don't and keep it to yourself and you'll be fine.

You didn't say how many plants or where you are growing.

If in your yard- as mentioned, keep your neighbors happy & be discreet with your crop. If you have a nosy/big mouth neighbor be very careful. My new neighbors are cool & young but when their parents (who are in my age range) came to visit they looked none too happy. They went back to Virginia and it looks like no harm done. My biggest fears used to be helicopters/drones but, as mentioned on this and other threads, if you are only growing 3-4 plants you aren't worth the effort to bust. (Did I mention my new neighbor has a dronecopter?)

If in a guerilla grow- biggest threats are yourself: use several trails to get to your grow, keep quiet, and remove all trash.

Don't let any of this stop you.!! If your just an average joe with a small plot chances are they wont do a thing even if they see it. especially on private property. Im sure its different for all counties, but theres gotta be some sort of minimum size of operation/ plant # for them to even be interested. those helicopters and officers cost a lot of money. Pretty soon they will realize its not worth it. (maybe worth it if they can prove you have a drugring making millions, and take your house) But ive heard of a lot of small grows (one personaly that was actually pretty big) and all they did was pull the plants. NO CHARGES... they want the big boys in court.

get out and grow my people.

Around my neck of the woods they're pretty tough with the MJ laws. I read an article in the paper a while back and it stated that an older couple got busted growing like 5-7 plants (Can't remember for sure but it was just a few) around one of their ponds and they got charged with either manufacturing or cultivating MJ. Not sure if they were ratted out or they spotted the plants during a flyover. Also read an article a few months ago about a guy that had a trailer out in the sticks with over 150 plants in different stages of growth. The fuzz said that they had came to serve some sort of paperwork and could smell it and that's how they got a warrant but I'm sure someone dropped the dime on him.. probably an ex girlfriend. They're the worst.

Follow these rules and you'll never see the inside of a cops car or the inside of a jail cell
#1 Don't do anything illegal.
If you do you better call Saul
Most everyone will tell you TRUST NO ONE.....TELL NO ONE....... KEEP A LOW PROFILE and for gods sake don't grow 1000 plants on 1/2 acre next to your house!
If you're just trying to grow for your personal use..............use your fucking head for something besides a hat rack or a place to grow hair and you should be fine..........there's plenty of valuable info on this site if you'll look for it.................Oh fuck there's a chopper gotta run !!!!
