but why ? working ?
yes sir, working on large combustion engines whilst high can be, umm.. an occupational hazard...
Besides it's my shop, so i prefer to be SHARP while i'm here.
but a lot of the work i do is on engines while they are running, so i need to be sober.
Also the strains i have isn't really conducive to WORK...
playing video games? sure, Playing bass? sure
hanging out with my dog or friends? sure
buuuut not trying to diagnose a 70 thousand dollar BMW
at least not if i wanna guarantee my diagnostics...

Why would you want less leaves or yellow leaves? That seems rather counterproductive.

at the end of flower you want buds not leaves why let the plant leave stored potassium and such in the leaves when your cutting them off anyway ? the roots can only do so much a day

don't know about how potassium is stored in the leaves so I couldn't comment on that part. And its not clear on how cutting them off would give that stored K back to the plant or buds (if thats what you meant).

My thinking is that the leaves are the solar panels powering the plant and the flowers it is producing. It's seems something like throwing the solar panels off your roof during a heat wave to make the a / c work better. Or something.

Know what I'm saying?

I get the solar panels argument and sometimes leaving more leaf on works better but inside you get more light to bud sights so they grow better and better airflow when you remove some leaf depends on the strain and your grow but normally cutting off around 10% to 30% of the plants mass going into flowering means more buds and bigger buds

as for releasing the stored K, and even the stored N this is done in the last 2 to 4 weeks of flowering yellowing the leaves and such

I find it can make trimming harder if you over do it, but it helps more with airy buds to get them harder

I`ve fed the plant so it can grow leaves if I`m not going to use them for anything then I`d rather the plant sucked all the sugar out of them and I was left with a dry brown leaf to throw away than a healthy one

Roots can only do so much in a day but sucking up all the extra sugar from the plants leaves can get you an extra weeks growth in the last week or 2 normally seems worth it to me

K that reply made no sense to me at the beginning sounds like your saying you like to pull leafs and at the end your saying you'd rather leave them to fade and get crispy brown to throw away ......which is it

I pull leaves at the start of flower and also cut off a lot of lower branches (use them for clones if its a good strain)

Then what makes it to week 6/8 I yellow to help the buds get fatter and sweeter
