How do i LOWER thc?

I've harvested ww before, and it seems to be high in thc content, not tested though. How do I lower thc, and get more cbd? I'm just starting a high cbd strain now, but also have the old ww stuff and another high thc strain is growing as well. I know i can mix the cbd one when it's ready, but is it possible to lower thc in already harvested buds as well as a standard high thc strain that's not harvested yet?

Asking because i can't handle a lot of thc and would rather go more cbd.

Not a common question....Chop early, chop with lots of amber trichs. Fluorescent light instead of HID. Idk, I've never put much thought into it. You could build your tolerance up so high thc strains don't make you uncomfortable. I'm just spit ballin'.

Let it grow longer.

I wouldn't recommend chopping early because trichs still mature during dry and cure. Early chops still result in very high thc content, the downside it doesn't taste as good

You're on the right track with growing the high CBD strain. You will have much better results that way than trying to guess when you're WW is less psychoactive.

Ww was just my first grows. Found out a few times not something to take too much of. Panic attacks are not pleasant. Hoping I get this cbd going without killing it...

Genetics! :-)

There are more and more high CBD strains becoming available. What you probably want to look for is a claim of a pretty even percentage of THC and CBD.

I will soon be flowering "Pennywise" (TGA Subcool) and wait anxiously to see what kind of medicine she produces.

Unfortunatly, you cannot take a turn THC into CBD. The THC and CBD "limits" are due to genetics and if it is a strain with naturally low CBD levels, there is no way to increase them much..if you wait until many/most of your trichomes turn amber you CAN however end up with increased levels of CBN/decreased levels of THC which gives a more cbd like high. It is not the ideal way to go about getting the effects you want, but in your situation, I would think it would be your best bet. A retired poster by the name of BrickTop has some fantastic posts and information on this science if you wanted to learn more, search bar his name and a few keywords.

Hope this helps and you end up with great product!! Happy living and happy growing, best of luck!
