How do I start a perpetual harvest system (cloning questions)

Hello everyone :)

I'm starting a new grow, I have 10 AK48 seeds that have already germinated and are sprouting in my cloning box. I will only have two rooms for the grow, however after I get the system going I will have 4 cycles going ideally. I am confused on how I can start this system in the best manner.

I have a dedicated room for flowering, after the seedling moves into this stage should I take clones and start the process? Or will the seedlings outgrow the veg room before others are out of flowering? Does this even make sense? LOL.

Do you keep a seperate mother plant(s) or do you take cuttings off veg plants when they move into flower? Which is the most efficient way?

Thank-you

select a mom from seed take clones put into flower, take more clones on and on allow 3 weeks from cutting the clone to flower at the shortest time.of course you need two rooms but you got that

I've read that thread a million-times over, I just don't understand the BEST way to start that setup, I understand maintaining.

Alright, so take the healthiest female before flower, take cuttings and put them in veg till root.. then move clones in with the bigger seeded plants?

You've got it!
You can just put the new girls in when they are big enough for you.
You don't have to wait for the other ones to finish, as long as the new girls have their own light.
Try scheduling regular cuttings every 2 weeks, and in the end you'll be pulling flowers every two weeks. :)
The biggest obstacle in a perpetual system IMO, is maintenance!
You must always be on the lookout for infestations and infections, stamp them out quick and hard!
But, spraying on plants close to harvest, is asking for trouble.
This is why upkeep is a crucial component to success!

Also, people develop tolerances quickly. So a perpetual system is a great way to achieve a new flavor every 2-4 weeks.:weed:
I don't know how big your veg room is. But, you might want to think about grabbing another mother or maybe 3!

Step 1 Fill up 1,2,3 ect... Cloners
Step 2 transfer rooted clones to dixie cups,
Step 3 take tallest clones put into veg,
Step 4 take the veg plants place them into flower
Step 5 keep doing this till your rooted clones are about half way gone then repeat step one.

If you need X amount of plants for flower every week. take 4x that many clones every 2weeks ( or when your half way there.) at first then 3 times that many after your established

Ex: JUST STARTED You need 10 clones every 7 days, you veg for 1 week.
First time you need to take 40 clones. Lets say 10 died or they are weak and you cull 10 you have 30 your at day 14.
You take away 10 clones to put into veg, you have 20 clones left and 10 in veg and 21 days until you run out.

Now your established you have a timeline and you have 10 clones in veg a week before they go in and 20 healthy clones in dixie cups to keep you in stock for 3 weeks before you run out.
So now you have three weeks to come up with new clones before you run out of stock.
So you take 25 -30 clones ( if you have 100% success rate then take 24 clones) now 14 days later when they have rooted you have taken the last 10 clones you had and put them into veg for a week and you have new 20 clones and 3 weeks before you run out again.

So always quadruple (to start) and triple ( when established) what you need ( give your self room for 10 plants to die or be culled) and keep the 21 day rotation.
You can play with this rotation but you dont want to have 50+ day old clones by the time you get them to the veg table.
Try to keep your stock of clones ( in dixie cups to a max of 30 days) Also keep them healthy but don't give them too much light.
If possible dedicate 10 clones to one florescent fixture and keep them as close to the light as possible so you dont get stretch and you can control height at your leisure.
Also if you veg for any longer then a week just add that time to your cloning schedule.
Example: 21 days( between taking clones) for a one week veg, 24 days (between taking clones for a 10 day veg) 27 days between clones for a 2 week veg...ect.....

P.S. I say dixie cup, but depending on your space you can use whatever container you like.

P.S.S How many clones you can get from a mother plant is strain dependant.
Once you establish how many clones a mom can give you. Then rotate moms.
Example 1 mom A gives you 30 clones, 21 days later MOM B gives you 30 clones.
21 days later Mom A gives you 30 clones and then MOM B once your moms have reached 3 cycles or about 60 - 90 days start a new mom and cycle out your old mothers eventually culling those moms when new moms have reached desired height. ( eventually this works out to X amount of CLONE moms living and dying every 6 months.)
