How do you guys take close up shots of plant

I'm not trying to spend 1500 dollars on a camera so i can see the fine details and i know a lot of you don't either. So how do you get some close up shots of preflowers n such? what's the best way or camera to use?

most digital cameras have a macro mode. this is identifiable by a little flower- look in the manual for macro mode or find the little flower and turn in to that option. this changes the focus of the lens for close up shots. some cameras even have a super macro option....for super closeups.
