How do you increase your nute strength when running drain to waste?...

Hey Guys,

How's it going? I recently dumped my hydroton flood and drain system and turned it in to a rockwool top-feed drain to waste with big mama cubes.

It's going really well, the growth I've had in 2 weeks has been incredible. I planted these seeds direct in to the cubes on 26th september, they popped their heads out in 3 days. One of them didn't pop, so I planted another 5 days later than the others, so that's the smaller one.

I have started them on 0.6 EC / 5.8pH (I use RO so a base of 0.4EC calmag + 0.2EC hesi growth nutes) They're under 2 x 550HLG V2 lights and I'm running C02 at 1000ppm. Room temp 29 / RT 75.

Before with my recirculating system I'd just keep an eye on the EC, if it went down I'd add more nutes, if it went up I'd add more water, if it stayed the same I'd leave it. A really simple method.

I'm just wondering what the best method is for a drain to waste? Do I increase the EC by 0.1 every 2 weeks and keep an eye out for nute burn? I have no idea how to increase it and don't want to burn my babies.

Thanks,
J.
