How do You Sprout Seeds?!

Stick seed in root riot, rapid rooter, etc under t5-within 48 hours I see a tap root and first vegative growth. From there I go into a 3.5" square pot and away we go. 100% germination rate with no stress!!

Soak a paper towel, wring it out until it's just wet, not dripping. One seed per towel, towel in baggie. Place in a cool dark place (not refridgerator). Open in 2-3 days. Will have a tail by then. Plant in soil and try not to touch the seed, but have occasionally with NO problems. Keep soil moist until she breaks through. I usually water with a syringe for the first week or so,

Planting the seed upside down or sideways doesn't seem to matter.

Knocking on wood here, but I have always had close to 100% germ rate.

The way I start seeds is simple. I have little plastic bathroom cups, 2oz cups. I fill them with 1oz of water and 2 drops of vitamin B-1. I drop my seeds in and put a little lid on the cup to make it completely dark. Within 24hrs, give or take, the seed will split and the tap starts to emerge. At that point I use s turkey baster to suck up the seeds one at a time and spit them directly into the soil, about a 1/2" deep. Cover them over with dirt and within as little ad a day I start to see sprouts. Usually within 3-4 days all the seeds sprout.

Not saying this is the best or only way, but has always worked for me.

Good luck!
hahaha i Love the baster, and then planting them with it.

Haha you only do one seed at a time? I think you could add moreseeds couldn't you.? I do like the syringe watering though.!

Multiple strains my friend.....put a piece of paper with the name of the strain in the baggie with the towel. Can't keep 'em straight any other way. I'm low key, 2 or 3 plants at a time.

Right!?! Keeps them suspended in the water, and by not handling them I guarantee not to fuck the tap up.
yeah i think i am going to have to use that.! and use the baster as the syringe for watering.

Works great for that also, even has measures up the side so you know how much water you're giving each one

I scalp the edges off the seed, then crack it open, soak it for 24 hours, then I put it in a folded paper towel on a heating mat and with a dome above it. Once the tap root is an inch I put it in rockwool cubes, and when the roots grow out of that I put that in hydroton, soil, or coco.Works every time so must be the best way to do it.

I have just been having problems lately with full germination, like some or even most may hatch but once I get them in soil not all sprout, and I usually do paper towels in plates but have tried thesproutpeople method, and just soaking, and just planting, all withnot so par results. My temperatures are usuallyabout 80+ but 90 seems better, and I think Too much water inhibits growth. I plant in a chamber close to lights buti
Do think humidity is low.

What do You do when yousprout seeds? I just ask because I just spent money on some nice ones and I feel I may have lost more than half.!

I'm a fan of rock wool cubes. Not sure if they are the best, but I've been using them for years and always have good success.

I soak the cubes in aloe water for a couple hours, plunk the seed in there, and put under a humidity dome. 48 hours or so and the seedling should be reaching for the light

I was 15 for 15 last run same method as most:
Clean glass of tap water hold seeds in glass for 12-24 hours... you can make a scuffer with match box and line half with some sand paper shake seeds to rough them up a bit then do the soak.

I take paper Towles folded over and with clean tweezers drop them in soak heavily then put in plastic zip lock. Store cool and dark place i never put in window sill.
Within 36 hours they all pop and go into a super sprouter with humidity dome I use small foam cups filled with only seed starter soil.

Only 2 Inches or so of soil I like to transplant into tall 6x6 square pots when they show first true leafs this is usually within 4 days from the day they were put in soil.

Now they go into super soil and start getting 18 hrs of MH LIGHT. The key is deep pots let the tap root grow long if it reaches 4inch you just bettered your female/male ratio.

The numbers I herd were like 80% if the tap root can grow freely to 4inches and plant has no stress during week 3 and 4. 65 degrees at night helps female ratios, higher nitrogen & less light say 15-18 can also help those ratios. Keep soil moist don't let it dry past 50% first month this also helps female ratios. Keep temp as steady as you can.

soak in a cup of water til they sprout, then plant in soil. Party cup or small pot 2/3 peat 1/3 coco. Soma's method. Done. no need for special bullshit.

rockwool is horrible. Made from spun rock and harmful as asbestos. changes flavor of weed and not in a good way.

Plant them in dirt horizontally and water them in making sure soil (or coco in my case) doesnt dry out.

Why not just stick them straight into the soil to begin with? I'll never understand why people complicate the ever loving hell out if germination.
