I just wanted to get peoples opinion on the weed,

A lot of my buddies have given up now and there are only a few of us left that toke as a religion.

One of my friends believes that the weed has negatively affected his life, he blames the fall of his previous relationship on it and had he not been so obsessed with smoking he could have given his relationship a better chance.

In this country there have also been a series of adverts, where the idea is that you ring a hot line to get off drugs and that cannabis is particularly bad for you.

This is a sample of the video
YouTube - Talk to Frank (brain warehouse) Ad

What are your opinions of the weed god we make hourly religous sacrifices to.

i found for a period that it felt like smoking pot slowed me down a little but if you just stay focused on real things to like having and keeping a job, building relationships and staying active then smoking just enhances all those things,at least it has for me so i think its had a positive effect on me,it helps me see things from other views and if im feeling stressed or anything it def. calms my nerves.

I suffer from OCPD (obbessive compulive personality disorder). Almost monk like just a little different. I have my mm card but qualified for something different. I also have TMJ which causes major migraines.

Since medicating the migraines are gone. Something pills couldn't do. It also controls my anxiety and helps with sleep.

So my experience has been totally 100% positive. Just ask my hubby!

Agreed weed has made me a more peaceful person, but how peaceful would you be without it for a few weeks.

There have been times where the weed has increased my lazyness and I havent gotten of my lazy arse to go do things i need to do.

Accounting for all the money I have spent in my lifetime on weed, how much would that add up to, would I have been able to save it with a clear head and no habbit.

My doctor has also been able to take me off several of my meds since I got my mm card. He just wrote a letter to get me card renewed. Gee I love that doc. :)

To be honest it has effected me in bit of a negative way. When I smoke regularly for a period of time I become easier to piss off and can snap kinda easy over little things. I also got kicked out of school when I was caught with pot. However this turned out to be a good thing as I got on much better in the new school I went to. A few of my friends have had their houses raided for selling pot and I'd never want that to happen when I'm living with my parents. Apart from that though it's been all good.

Weed has brought a lot of joy into my life through the lifestyle, friends, and the act of getting high.
It's also brought some pain though from being ripped off and fiending.
In the end, its great. The people I've met and the time's I've had are amazing.

Right. Well as I'm the only one to vote this way... I'll explain why.

I started out smoking weed before my teens. Was buying an 8th a day by the age of 14 (I had no family, I took care of myself). By the time I got to 18 I got heavily into stimulants ( i already had the acid days around the ages of 14-17) xtc, coke and speed. This pretty much lasted till the age of 24. I was selling heavily and constantly surrounded by violence. I was also starting to suffer from delusions. I realised what was happening to me, and that the people I walked past weren't actually talking about me. I thought I was going crazy, or at least the possibility was there.

I moved in with my current gf, she liked to smoke. So I started just using weed. It stopped me from wanting to go out and it made me paranoid at first. I had to literally take a step back and analyse my mental state. Weed helped me do this, helped me see why I felt the way I did. After smoking weed I wasn't making any money any more. For 2 years my girl stood by me while we lived piss poor and I got my head straight. Finally I started selling weed to pay for my own, and then it grew to a stage where I was making money, then lots of money. Now I don't need to sell weed, but I self medicate 24/7.

My experience with weed is a lot like Skunk's.. i got into a lot of harsh drugs for a couple years. even though i was still in college and had a consistent job, the bad drugs i was using was taking a toll on my body. So finally i left all the people who were influencing me and quit my job so i could focus on school and started growing. Now im on the national deans list in college! so thanks to weed, i can focus a lot better on my studies and i dont have the urge to go out and get fucked up anymore. not only that, but for a long time ive had problems with anger and depression, and the weed acts as an instant mood calmer. i love it.

weed has opened the mysteries of the mind for me.
I guess I have been smoking daily since 92'.

I am most certainly pro weed.
I believe everyone who is old enough and sane enough should smoke weed.

As far as it making you lazy.
I can see that.
After you have been smoking for a few years that will fade.
I sometimes feel more sober when I smoke than when I don't
Rather I am high more often than I am sober.

I quess being high just feels natural to me.

How does it help with depression though, i believe it just compounds it, you may not feel depressed when you smoke it, because the toke makes you forget your problems, but those problems havent gone away. You will have to deal with them at some, point the smokes making you forget for now but i believe that at somepoint it will come back and it may well be worse for not having dealt with it straight away.
