How does it look

hey heres my first prout of some lemon pez how does it look just one 26 watt cfl. and also have some other seeds germing in shot glass of water in a dark warm place for over 3 days and still no tap root what should i do.

Quickee is right that germination can take longer than three days, but you might have drowned them. Wait another 3-5 days before you let them go. How did you go about germinating the one that has sprouted?

i geminated the first one by putting in a warm glass of water and left in the dark for 3 days and it had a huge tap root i just planted the other ones after 4 1/2 days just hoping for a sprout. and then had my buddie germinate the seeds new cause he has like a 80 percent germ rate he did the first sprout. but i did eactly the same and it didnt work as well but these ones he did should work.

Container, paper towel, moist, warm, dark, tap root.

yea that glass of water trick doesnt always work. try the towel method.

k well i have some more seeds that ill try and the paper towel trick with should the contaner be closed and should the water be warm? and just use like one or two paper towels? thanks this info has been awesome. can i put it in a zip lock bag for a container?

take a plate, wet two paper towels and put them on the plate. put the seeds inbetween and cover it all with saran wrap. put it in a warm place and make sure no light gets to it. what i do is i put it on top of a heating pad and cover it with a dark blanket. and make sure to monitor it every 12 hours or so.

i dont really have a good source of heat to put it on so would room temp be horrible or what?

put it next to radiator maybe. try to keep it in a place above 60 degrees

paper towel method is great success! usually takes 3 days for that...sometimes I'll even germ a seed in soil which can take up to 7 days.

as i said paper towel is the best, just one towel, and yeh warm water not to warm just luc warm, then a heat source to keep it warm, in a dark place. you will have 95% success i reckpn doing this method, fuck all the other methods this works the best.
