how does it work

So i have a friend in so cal and is talking of moving up to the humboldt area and to me sounds like the perfect plan. He wants to run a dispensary and i want to be a farmer but im not sure on how to get a start, i realize at my financial level ill have to get a job to support myself for a bit but how do i get in good with the other farmers and join a crew?

You don't. It's flooded up there with vendors and with the amount of shit you have to go through to open a clinic nowadays... you just don't.

i had heard a little about oakland and oaksterdam but wasnt sure if it was the place to try and grow

Start with a plan and budget yourself. Look over non profit business plans and study them. It is an actual business you're starting so you're taking the same steps as any other. Probably need some investors since I'm assuming this is just a stoned idea two friends had one day and you don't have much to put into startup.

My best advice? Hire an MMJ lawyer to give you real advice... other than that this has to do with research. Research laws, business plans, ordinances, find a suitable location away from schools, etc.
