how far to keep cfls from newly popped seedlings

I just have a quick question. im wonder, as the title says, how far to first keep my cfls from the tops of me newly hatched seedlings. Thanks very much.

uhh like 4" if you have a fan just blow it on the bulb so it keeps it cool. Pretty much the closer the better as long as its not hurting the plant cause you want the plant short and bushy. i have tons of pics in my album feel free to look!

yeah even after 20 hours of my light being on (26 watt CFL) i can still comfortably hold my hand around the bulb while its on. just get a good fan to keep everything cool
