How I Keep an Eye On My Grow (LIVE FEED): 100% FREE

Well, i have a stealth hydro in my closet, and i have been going out of town a lot lately. Well even though i have a lock on my closet door, i wanna make sure nobody is messin with my shit, and id like to see how my babies are doing. So what i did was put my laptop in my grow room with a webcam centered on my plant.

I went to Homecamera.com and downloaded the free software and service.
Just create a free account and download the free software (PC only)

With this software, you can view whatever your usb (or built-in) camera is centered on.
When ever you log in to your account from another computer (or cellphone- they even have a mobile site) you can watch a live stream of your plants from anywhere in the world.

They even have a thing called "motion detection" which will send you a text or email with a live stream or picture if the camera catches anything moving. Could be very useful.

This lets me be a lot more stress-free and helps me make sure my babies are healthy when i cannot be there.

EDIT: I recommend hiding your IP address before you do this, and i DONT recommend leaving this running 24/7 or long periods of time, dont want the DEA finding out where ur grow is.

sounds like a cyber wire tap could happen then all it would do is have some one spy on your grow. But you have a good idea .

Yes youre absolutely right, i wouldnt recommend this if you have a big grow op goin on or leaving it on 24/7 for months, but for purposes for like small grows and for short periods of time, this could help keep an eye on things.

You can set up a free account at Justin.tv and no software is needed. Just click on Broadcast. You need a free account, and you can pw protect the room

Funny you should mention dogs.... We had a detached 6 car garage that we set up some grow in and he had 4 rottweillers that it was my job to keep fed. It was my first time around a grow and I jumped at the chance to be part of it, even if it was just to keep the security fed and loaded. Every now and then, he'd give me money to run up to burger king and get em whoppers. I still remember laughing everytime I went up there and asked for 12 whoppers plain. The damn dogs would wolf em down in no time and be looking around for more. They loved to see me enter the compound...

Hell, I've seen mother fuckers on Justin TV broadcast their shit and then smoke a bong and take questions from the audience. No shit. Bong TV is on Justin.tv too. I imagine casting a live grow would make ya shit your pants... lol Only way I would do it is set up a static IP for the cam controller and log in remotely after hitting up hidemyass.com

Does Justin TV have a mobile site? so i can check on my grow from my cellphone?
