get it boiling but don't burn it, stir occasionally 45 minutes on low boil then strain it through a cheesecloth or strainer . With the olive oil I add water in and have to separate it after it comes out of the freezer.

Here's how I do it. This is what you will need.

2 oz of dry trim
1 lb of UNSALTED butter
A large pot
A couple packs of cheesecloth (the more the better especially if it's your first time) maybe 4 packs.
A strainer
2 Large bowls
Muffin tin with cupcake liners

Get your pot filled with water and get it to a low simmer.
Add butter and dry trim.
Let simmer for 1-3 hours. Stir and check occasionally. DO NOT BOIL!
Let it cool down but not to the point the butter will start to solidify.
Line strainer with cheesecloth.
Strain contents of pot through cheesecloth into a large bowl. Squeeze and ring out as much goodness as you can out of there but careful not to get plant matter through.
Let cool off overnight in the fridge. The butter will all rise to the top and harden.
Remove layer of butter from the top of the large bowl and melt it down in a pot/saucepan on the lowest setting possible. This will remove excess water and allow for easy portioning.
Line muffin tin with cupcake liners and pour out 1/4 cup amounts into the tins.

DO NOT BAKE OVER 325 F when using this butter.

Enjoy!

Your trim DOESNT NEED TO BE DRY. I actually prefer moist trim vs dry for butter.

Take 4 sticks of butter melt it down in about a qt of water.

Grind all the bud, poor it in the butter water mix that is boiling and bring to a simmer... 30mins-45 of simmering then stir for 30 minutes straight.

Strain out the bud from the mixture, squeezing it to release any butter it had. (strain it into a bowl or something)

put the bowl in the fridge, let the butter sepearte and then remove it from the water..

ENJOY!
