How is it that seeds don't germinate during the drying/curing process

I have 2 seeds on the top cola one is green and the other is turning brown like it's drying(guessing) I seeded this girl on purpose but there's still a lot of good herb I don't wanna just ruin by doing a quick dry. Just wondering if there's a good chance that brown one will pop during the cure?

no, not enough water to germinate.

I believe you when you say not enough water but it's just hard to fully understand when curing and the buds go from kinda crispy to soaked how it's not enough. I've heard seeds become more viable when cured but I've also heard they are ready to go some times right when you plant them. I guess I'm just kinda bugging on that brown one now. Do they do that while their maturing or is it a sign it's drying and curing.

c.o.c. is correct. the seeds actually have to cure a bit themselves before viable...
fully dried seeds are viable. in dried and curing flowers, there is not enough moisture to trigger germination.

matured seeds should be brown at harvest. drying in the bud will allow less mature seeds to continue to ripen to an extent. after fully dried (2-4 weeks), seeds are fully viable. mature seeds can be ready to germinate within a day or two of harvest if they've fully ripened on the vine.

yeah, but some times fresh seeds can be a bit harder to germ ime.
and like has been said, there's no where near enough moisture in a drying bud to signal a seed to start to germinate imvho. nothing to worry about, just dry and cure the bud as you normally do..
