How long are people waiting to hear back from Health Canada ?

So I called HC for shits and giggles today, they appear to be opening (and hopefully processing) applications faster as they received my renewal and already are saying it is processing, previously it took 3 weeks just for it to be opened.

Nice we're still waiting to hear back from the clinic. We go up tomorrow so Well see either way tomorrow if there's an update. Hc said they had to talk to the doctor to Confirm and the number on the script was just a mailbox so.

Called them today. Apparently my application is "doing very well" (yes that's what they said) and its being process in the back log. They said the process started May 1st but pretty sure they receive it WAY earlier than that. It did come back for a missing date but they said it didn't lose any position as they are put back into original processing spot. I'm 99% sure the doctor signed it mid Feb so by the time I get it I'll have to pay again and renew it wasting most of the year.

Did you go to a pay clinic or family doctor

Its was a specialist not just a general practitioner over Skype. The doc that signed my old MMAR no longer would sign for ACMPR.I guess he cashed in and fu next time. HC stated nothing was wrong with my application and its passed all the requirements, just the "doing very well" is pretty odd to say besides the fact that its been so many months for something that took 4-6 weeks with MMAR.

Its been over 2 months for an address change for me lol i really don't care anymore. Wife expires sept 5th...getting signed this friday. Don't really care anymore. When they tell you its begins the day your Dr signs but you can't grow/possess until your papers get back to you is just fucked. Same with the address change, the application itself asks for when you want the address change to be effective but you can't move until you get paperwork back...fly a kite and double dip somewhere else HC.

I just called today. It was opened on June 19th and it is still in processing. I asked if she had any time frame as to when I can expect to see it in the mail and she told me that it's a very popular program so they are currently back logged. She then went on to say that I should expect it sometime in the next 2-5 months!

So basically if I add on the two months that I have already waited, the current wait for registration from the day they open your letter until the day your registration comes in the mail is 4-7 months!

So some quick math for worst case scenario (7 months to register):

Prescribed by Dr : June 02
Received paper prescription fr. Dr.: June 12
HC opened application: June 19th
Worst case 7 month wait: January 19th
Germ seeds and Veg 1 month: February 26th
Flower 2 months: April 26th
Dry 1 week, cure 2 weeks: May 17, 2018
Time left to smoke first crop before HC expects you to destroy it because your prescription is expired: 15 days!

I'm sure glad I didn't wait to start mine.

Holy shit, that sounds like an unreasonable barrier to access if I ever heard one, especially considering they will not allow for a script to be signed for over one years time.

That is ridiculous! I thought they hired more people....our renewal a couple of months ago took only 3 weeks to process. We have another one coming and will update with renewal times. What a farce! If you had convictions and a pardon it would take longer to process though.

(: Last I heard of a renewal time being that short was when I upped my script. I renewed in less than two weeks with the MMAR and that was only weeks before it was supposed to be shut down..
they forced, called people out and pushed them towards the AMCPR.. and some ran for it!..

MMya :)

this is one awesome shit deal for folks to go through with a right shit deal for Pro II

stand up and grow people..its your right ..yu just don't know it yet!!

Maybe someone can answer a question I've been trying to google!!
My question is can you purchase recreational land and use that as your address to grow?
Trying to make arrangements for next year while trying to bypass Landlord Issues and any Insurance problems that come with growing! I figure if I'm the landlord and I don't need to insure trees.
I know it states that your address should be your primary place of residence but didn't say it has to be, plus how would they find out right!.
I have to send in for renewal and would rather use another address for more space to grow my script!. Thanks in advance.
I will upload another pic of the 3 trees in full bloom.

You must register your mailing address, your proposed growing address (if different), and your storage address (one or the other). I don't see any reason why they wouldn't let you as long as you own the property or have the owners consent (where it's not your primarily dwelling).

Now transporting harvested materials from your growing address to your home address (presumably where you'd register your storage) would be an arduous task as you are still limited to the 150g possession limit. I don't recall reading an exception for this limit in the case of harvest.

Ok thanks for the quick reply. I was kinda thinking that's the way to go about it. I guess I would have to make multiple trips with the allotted amount
