i was gunna clone for sex but how long does it take from cloning to showing sex, and do i keep them in a 18/6 cycle for the first week to root or just put them into 12/12?

give it the veg light cycle until it has a strong root system, then it'll take at least a week under 12/12 to show sex...

Where does it say anything about cloning a male. He's cloning to see what the sex of the mother is before sending it to flower.

I would assume why he's cloning to determine sex is if it turns out to be a male then he can scrap that plant instead of vegging the plant he took the clone from & veg it for however long he likes to veg until he starts flowering it & then wait after all that time passed just to find out it was a male. He's saving time & money !!
