So i basically just need a quick answer whats the longest a hygrometer can be stored and how often does it need to be calibrated?
Can i keep it in the jar for days to get a constant reading without having to recalibrate?

Also i wanted to know how long everyone dries especially this time in the midwest because mine always felt crispy after 2 days in dark with no direct airflow. Anyone know if im just not judging right or do other people thing theyre ready for cure after 48 hours?
I am actually wondering all this because i will be picking up my first rh hygrometer from a cigar shop tomorrow and am not sure about this and the internet wont forgive right now please throw a brother a hand im counting on you roll it up!

If you're choosing a hygrometer other than a Caliber III or a Hydorset/Xikar, you can't fully trust the readings. To answer your question, you can store a good hygrometer for a very long time. At this point, I think my oldest Caliber is ~9 years old. Then, it was a Caliber II. Good luck.
