HOW LONG...do you veg your clones for?

I go by size. Ideally, 4 plants in a 2.5x2.5x5 tent. I keep them about 18” tall and pinch/top to get as many as 50 tops. Wile the canopy is filling out, so are the roots. Flower under 2”x2” scrog. I used to train but just as well to try to fill all of the holes with tops.

No veg gardener here. I cut clones, root them, and as soon as they are rooted (usually 7-10 days) I transplant them under the flower lights and let them harden off for a day or 3 then flip to 12/12. In less than 2 weeks of cutting them from momma, they are under the big lights flowering. I dont grow for "weight", but have found I can actually pull more weight in a years time with less power consumption vs someone who will veg based on the same space, lighting etc.

How much do you average per clone with. No veg? I assume you sog?

I wouldn't consider it sog, but I'm able to fit 8-10 small plants per table. I'll probably get about 1.5 per plant on my current run (which are quite a bit smaller than usual). Like I said, my grows aren't about weight as much as they are about running a lot of strains in a short time without giving up monocropping.

That's very good I'd be very happy with 1 per plant for no veg at all on clones. What do you feed them, lights, pot sizes, and are you organic?

6 week ,plus two weeks to root = they can near enough go straight into the flowering room ,once the plants in there are done .That way you only ever flower in that room all my vegging is done under a t5.

Take clones one week before flowering the strain we use, when we clean up the bottom of the plants anyway.
3 weeks to root and establish, 3 weeks veg, top, two weeks veg, then we are on the line above again as harvest on this strain is a few days short of 8 weeks.

Just curious as to how long you guys veg your clones... everyone is different.... just trying to get a friendly topic going... alot of posts today are rather mean and rude... just trying to get the focus back to our plants... and away from the negative i been seeing here all day.... Its getting fuckin old and childish
I veg mine perpetually topped for selected size until requested and a spot is open in the flower room.

I don't use veg time as a metric for clones or seedlings. I veg until the plants are 20-22 inches tall. I know my indicas will just about double their height (stretching) after being moved to my 12/12 flower room. I want the plants to finish around 40-46 inches in height as my flower room is set up so the bulb is about 5 feet above the platform the pots sit on. I'm trying to keep them as close to the bulb as I can without having to worry about them getting toasted from the heat.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Curious as to what you mean when you say you TP them "under the flower lights" . Are you referring to the bulb under which you TP?

Congrats on all the positive feedback you have received. Tells me you are active as well as knowledgable in the forum.

BigSteve.

Sorry BigSteve I'll clarify. I have a small momma room that houses 4 mommas and whatever cuts Im rooting, and I also have a room dedicated just for flowering. This is where the (2) 1000W HPS are along with (2) 4' Agromax T5's I run with the HPS are. I refer to anything going in this room as going "under the flower lights".

I veg mine for about 4 weeks, although to be honest here the length of time does not matter, because it's all subjective based on the light you have to flower with, how many plants you have and the space you have to grow.

the real answer is, how big do you want you plants, how big is your space and how big are your lights. veg time is pointless if its too ong and you cant do anything with it. a waste if you dont veg long enough and have unfilled space. typically i veg mine for no longer than a month to a month and a half. if im testing a strain its 4 weeks if i know how it runs usally 6 then flip that includes rooting time

Also I'd love to know what kind of ac and vent system you have running 2 1k HPS I have one 1k HPS and struggle to keep it under 80 during the summer with a cool tube and 10 in fan with scrubber and a small window unit
