Hi Guys, Was just reading up on SOG method and the guy was flowering for like 8 weeks, I was wondering how long it would take to flower in my DWC bubbleponics system with a 600 watt hps?

if hydro take 8-9 weeks to flower like indoor soil then whats the point of hydro? I thought it cut every cycle almost in half?

I believe aeroponics is the growing method that cuts a lot of time off of each growing cycle.

Maybe this will help. Flower times depend on strains like already suggested.
The major time factor result is going to come to you during veg cycle. Under the right lights u can hit 12-18 inches in as lil as 2-3 weeks.
Heres a pic of a plant only 46 days from seedling and is already 17 days into flowering..see what im saying? This plant is almost 3 feet tall vegged under 2 42watt 65k cfl directly above the tips of the leaves until it reached about a foot in about 2 weeks.
The major benefits i found from soil to hydro was to flower 12 plants realisticly u would need 12 3 gallon pots when as you can throw 12 plants in a 24 gallon rubbermaid tub into about a 13 x 18 inch space.Plus all u have to do is flush the water in the end.
I think hydro= simplicity, ease, stealth and amazingly fast results.
Hope this helps

Think of it this way. You can veg forever. But when the plant goes from veg to flowering, it's got a time limit. Counting down to a set 7-8-9-10 weeks whatever it is till full maturation. Time is neccisary for maturation, where hydro just provides really fast growth during...everything. Thats the point. 8 days i went from 6.5" to 12", and i'm newb using crappy aerogarden, but it will still take 7-10 weeks to mature. The plant doesn't just die one day though. It's not like time bomb and plant blows up.
