How long have you grown??

This question goes out to all the experienced!! How long have you grown for?? can anyone reply.. 10, 15, 30 years??? I would love to hear the stories of you, and the what to do's and the what not-to-do's~
has anyone secrets about staying safe and being incognito?? Please share your knowledge with us~

couldn't tell by my posts on the forums but i have been growing and vaporzing for close to 5 years now im 23 started when i was 18. with 5 years under my belt i have a few words of wisdom for the new growers out their

1) DO NOT USE MG PRE NUTED SOIL. yes i know its what every supper store in the history of existance sells but its trash and you will most likely regret it. search for a hydroponics or flower store near you i garantee theirs one with in 25-30 miles of your house


2) invest the money in a 400 watt hps/ mh lamp it is the best for the money and for the personal grower it will produce huge sexy budds and thats whats you want ( yes their expensive but god damn u can buy refurbished ones for 125 $ shipped from insidesun company ( do a google search ) so basicly for the price of a 1/4 oz of reall good ganja you can have a unlimited supply of it.

3) try a bag seed grow first and do your research, its not worth wasting money on top quality seeds for your first grow because your going to mess up. even if you do all the research somthing will probley still go wrong. its good practice and who knows you might get a really good mother out of some bag seeds and not need to order

4) after you have a season or two under your belt order the seeds you need from nirvana shop im not gonna go further into this its self explanitory yes its safe no customs wont come to your house if the confiscate your order you will just have to re order and take the 50 $ hit

5) this is crucial DONT TELL ANYONE WHERE YOUR PLANTS ARE. if you dont want to get robbed or arrsted dont tell anyone. anyone that would benefit from seeing your plants would be better off seeingthe final product be smart dont flaunt it around.

6) a real sneaky place to grow outside is inside a 5 gallon bucket, camo painted, tied up 20 foot into a tree with camo rope and just cut some of the branchs from the tree up top to alow for sun exposure. ( this is the one scenario where pre nuted soil is prefered but their are a multitude of time release food additives u can stick in their. the key to this grow stick it up their when no one is their and dont come back till its finished the less time your their the less chance it will be found. also be smart dont do it in a huge urban area or in say a cops back yard ( my friends a dumb ass )

7) order a parts per million meter off of ebay u can get one shiped for 12 $ and opposed to 70 $ + , order your grow room enclosure ( if your going to use one ) off ebay their 120 as opposed to 400 $ +

keep your light close to the plants just pay attention so they dont get burnt as they grow this will prevent stretching and dont be afraid to trim fan leaves and top your plants just read up on it first this will increase your yield alot

9) use good nutes and follow the instructions on your feeding chart untill you feel confident enough to start working outside those specifications also if you see signs of nute burn flush the soil quickly.

10) did i mention dont tell anyone

I did my first grow about 30 yrs ago in my backyard. The best advise I can give you is to never ever tell anyone about your grow.....period.

I was 17 when I first grew, over 20 years ago.
Had to take a break once in that time because my gf at the time blabbed to family who threatened to turn us in "for our own good".

Other than that it's been pretty smooth sailing.

Ive been gowing for bout 25 years . Best advice i can give you is never tell anybody your growing I mean no one! The second best advice would be plants take time to grow don't get in a yank! Did I mention don't tell anybody? I mean no one not a soul, Got it?

11) for the love of god have patience don't rush any part of the process esp the drying and the curing. don't kill the plants to early you lose potency. I know you have been looking at those swollin khollas for ever and all you want to do is smoke them. but remember it took months to get them this far dont screw it up in the last 2 weeks. but if you absolutely can't wait for them to dry the microwave is a ghetto way to quick dry bud but i dont recomend it just wait it will be well worth it

12) keep your weed in jars, bags are for sandwhichs. in a bag weed gets worse, in a jar it gets better need i say more

Good lookin guys! I think it is great that you all repeating the "dont tell anyone" part. I know it feels good to actually do something like this, but it aint legal.

for sure anyone that dosn't know not to tell anyone will learn reall quick and never do it again. i mannaged to learn from others mistakes i hope you guys do to

How many plants were your first grow and what was your yield?

my very very first grow was bag seeds with little to no research 2 plants same pot disaster .... their wasn't a yield. but my first real grow which occured right after was 6 plants hydro under a T5 and got around an oz off each plant but didn't kill the one male and it got seedy but i learned from that mistake to

I've been growing for 5 years now. One of my tricks is to use a ice fishing auger and dig a 8 inch across by 3 foot deep hole and fill with fresh liquid manure from a farm. I plant 5 plants a foot from the hole in circle. The manure feeds your pot plant for the whole season and in also holds moisture during dry weather. It doesn't burn your plant because the root have to grow to it. It's kind of like a big ass fert stick only better.

here are my current babbies 6 ice plants all female topped and pruned from Nirvana shop grown under 2 400 watts from inside sun ( + my t5 i nthe back because every little bit helps ) in the 4x4x6 grow tent off ebay in grow bags with good soil from a hydro store 22 miles away which i fed with maxi grow nutes and used a 12 $ ppm meter off ebay( i practice what i preach and check the results )

Hows the grow bags? I was thinking about using those as well.

amazing prefect drainage i didn't notice any salt build up from the bags that had males after i killed them. so basicly all the good things about a pot but 15 cents each and can some what mold to the grow space you have

I think I'll pick up some tomorrow when I hit the garden store. I plan on doing my next grow the correct way. I currently have a bag seed in MG Organic Choice and MG Perlite and its doing okay, but I noticed some light grey spots on a few leave sets. This shit is an experience though and I plan on it being a long term hobby.

do you guys ever get paranoid about the whole process? even when one is very quite about what is going on... i still feel like someone is watch'n me~ is that just because i know inside my head that what i'm doing is illegal?

Dude, I think its more of a 6th sense cause I used to think people were watching me every since I was young. Tell when I got older I realized that I was right this whole time. lol So now I try to stay in the house as much as possible.
