How long till buds show ?

I wonding how long till buds show ... it been a week 12/12 with soil now no signs buds yet...
uder 1000 watts light ..

they should show between 1 and 2 weeks, with prominent
hairs beginning in week 3

^ yea. there gna start off as hairy little clusters of pre flowers..your not going to see serious buds until your like 4 weeks from harvest

Ok i see lots of whites lines hanging out the balls ... that a good signs

balls? ....

I usually see them start around week two. This is one of my new formed buds right at two weeks, under a 600w. Doesn't look like much at first - but that's a bud. Within days of seeing this, they explode with hairs.

Shouldn't be any balls, you should see pistils, white hairs on the nodes and internodes
first, and then you should begin seeing the tops of plants cease their vegetative
growth structure and open up in to flowers. Males have balls.... Naturally.......

balls are bad if its got balls cut it down fast

mine started to bud right as thefirst week ended of 12/12
but my guess is right around 2-2.5 weeks till you start to see the little nuglets

I start getting budding on day 1 of 12\12.
I use a little trick - I put the plant in darkness for 24 hours straight before the switch.

Shouldn't be any balls, you should see pistils, white hairs on the nodes and internodes
first, and then you should begin seeing the tops of plants cease their vegetative
growth structure and open up in to flowers. Males have balls.... Naturally.......


Right i mean Pistils .. please look my other post about leaves .. wried leaves curling .. thanks guys for advice ..

Yep, don't put your plants in the dark for a day. I tried this when I first started growing - twice - and never since. Didn't make a bit of difference, flowering-wise. Those two grows did turn out hermie, however. Not saying that's what caused it - just reporting the facts.

yeahh i read about doing the 24 hr dark period and decided not to do it..
mine showed sex within 3 days anyway and nugs withing like a weekish..
if you have any little light leak it will slow the process a fair bit, but yeah the top of your plants new leaf growth
will magicly turn from buncha new leafs to a little nugglet in the middle

for fucking ever!! or at least thats how it seems!! but i have a bad habit of stalkin my bitches!! LOL! give 'em bout 2-3 weeks for a real answer tho!

obviously your not gunna have a nug to smoke within the first week...

mine started developing nugs at 1 weeks. at 2 weeks they were almost the size of pennies everywere

I don't get smokable buds. I don't get visible buds. I get the plant to start shootning pistils on the first day.
Without doing the 24h darkness thing it usually takes 4-7 days until I start noting a difference since I switch to 12\12.

Take it or leave it - it works for me. You can check my journal - I've used that method this time around and happy with the results.
