How Long Till I Bust My Load... ??

Just found out one of my babies is a DUDE so i'm going to milk my sacs and save the juicy goodness for my lady... =]

Ok enough joking... =]

So my lil one is a male and i want to save pollen to polinate my female selectively when i decide to flower her...

His pre-flowers are barely noticeable and as far as i can tell there are only two lil nut sacs on the second from the top node (8th or 9th i think dont feel like counting rt now)...

Any way, my question is how long should it be before i can milk my lil nut sacs for their powdery goodness... I just put HIM in to 12/12 tonight...

Aheemmm... FDD... ??

he isnt in the same flowering room as the others is he? i wait for about 3 weeks (dep. on strain) of 12/12.. till u see his pods really dropping the gold dust.. then pollinate.. i also pollinate twice more.. in 3 day intervals.. just to make sure the lady gets knocked up (i dunno if this is necessary or not).. just watch the male plant.. he'll release pollen a little premature and continue releasing it for awhile just to make sure he covers the peak fertilization period.. thats when u know you are ready to pollinate

you will notice on the pollinated branches, the hairs will shrivel up and the calyxes (sp) will fatten up pretty quick.. (check out videoman's thread on collecting pollen, i utilize it when growing indoors.. very helpful, sorry i dont know how to link it)

good luck, keep us updated :peace:

was hesitant to open this post for fear of seeing salami but thought it was worth a look in case there was females involved

No salami... =]

And the mister has moved to another location... I saw and read a little of videomans post but all his pictures are gone... =[

I dont plan on pollenating (or flowering) the misses for quite awhile but i want to get as much viable material off off him as i can before i toss him...

Peace...

I thought it had to be air and light sealed... Especially light because it will make the pollen validity drop off sooner... Air because they are going in the freezer and dont want moisture getting in there...
