How Long till They Show Sex?

I know its strain dependent, but how long does a mostly indica plant take to show sex under 20/4 light ?

I know height has nothing to do with it so maybe amount of nodes or age?

It won't flower under 20/4 ligt unless it's an autoflower. You might get preflowers but they don't always have them before they are flowered in my experience.

the plants will show signs of sex under 12/12 lighting

u wont know till a couple weeks into flower...like pipe said tho,unles its an autoflower....

I grew a 50/50 hybrid under 24 hour light... it showed sex when it was a foot tall

when you flip them to 12/12 to flower keep a sharp eye out for the males you don't want the females to get pollinated

I dont mean flowering I mean just the 2 white pistol's

Like I said, unless you are going to wait until you see preflowers to flower, you may not ever see them. They may have to be very old, and too big for your space before they show. I usually only veg for like 6 weeks before I flower and only a couple plants have showed preflowers before they went into 12/12.

Ok im just gonna tell you guys the problem n maybe you can help me think of something

I have 30 of them, so im thinkin 15 females, I am putting most of them outside but I dont know the sex yet.. I'm only putting females out and i dont wanna go 12/12 then put them outside under 17 hours.. wont it f*ck them up ?

Can't you just cull the males? Most plants are not going to be able to survive without your help so you'll have to visit the garden anyways. You have plenty of time to get to them before they pollinate everything if you see them at least once a week IMO. You could take clones and flower them and ten know which lants are females without having to flower and revegg the plants.

I'm only allowed a certain amount of plants even if there males... I think I might do the clone thing as soon as there big enough to take a clone from each one without shocking it. thanks man n if you think of anything else let me know

so bringin them down to like 18/6 or 15/9 wont help me show sex without flowering?

turning the lights down is just going to force them to flower....if u dont want that now then keep veggin

How bad would it be to go 12/12 and as soon as I see first signs of sex go back to 20/4 ??

idk exactly how much stress no.....but it increases a chance of hermie.....so even if first time it shows female....next flower period it may be overstressed and still turn on u
