How long to hermie?

Plants can hermie in veg, some might just throw a few 'nanners' late in flowering, it just depends on how severe the hemie trait is.

I recently germed some beans that I bred a few years back and every one of the beans hermied on me (BOG x durban poison). Typically, it takes 1-2 weeks for the hermie to show in flower but sometimes they'll appear before flower or late in flower and it can be mild or severe. One of my hermie beans was mild so I plucked the pollen sacks and nanners and there she is below (day 45). Nothing special, IMO, but I figured that I deserved at least one of my own crosses.

Good looking strain you got there..What do you call her? I just chopped 2 of my plants, doing a scrog and the screen was more than full..Now its only half and looks empty as shit.

She hermied on me before I could come up with a name. I took clones from her and the other females but after they hermied, I threw the clones out. Poison BOG? I don't know. She smells of earth, skunk and fruit loops but it's not necessarily an attractive smell.

So to answer your original question, I think it would be hard for an experienced grower to stress a plant until it hermies. My strain hermied from genetics which is where I think 99% hermies come from.

Im trying to determine if my plants hermied or were just males..

On my NL I had one branch that had female pistils but the rest of the plant had pollen sacks and on my KK there were no pistils just pollen sacks, and they were supposed to be feminized.
I dont think i stressed them, they all look very healthy besides one NL which hasnt shown its sex yet.

But if i get 3 out of 5 that have pollen sacks I have to assume its some kind of grower error but I dont see where I fucked up and to show pollen sacks so early into flower? Its only been 1 week.
I would think there would be pistils before pollen sacks if they were stressed into being hermaphrodite
