how many holes in aero/dwc tub?

setting up my aero/dwc tub. my flower cab floor space is something like 3ft x 2 ft. I have a roughneck tub that fills just about the entire space. should drill enough holes to fit as many pots as i can or should i space them out a bit? i was thinking of trying to fit like 8-10 plants in it but i could fit probably like 16- 18 3" pots on it if i wanted to. what would you consider overkill and what would you consider room for expansion (for possibly like SOG) my first grow in the box i was gonna lst / top them to veg it out a bit. what do you all think would be the best move?

It really depends on how much light you'll be flowering with.

400 w HPS - flower 2x3 ft floor space
200 w CFL - veg 2x3
150 - 200 CFL - mother 20in x 24 in

I'd do 1 plant every 5".
