how many LPs have you been through?

So, I'm on the hunt for another LP. Been to PN and mettrum so far. Both have been very disappointing to say the least. I think I am leaning towards tilray atm. Their prices are high but seem to have good reviews on the quality. It sucks I'm gonna have to pay another 150 for the prescription switch but no other option. So how many LPS have you had to try out so far?

I can't help you with first-hand experience, but from all the reviews that I have read, Tilray and Whistler Medical have the best patient reviews so far. They are pricier, but unfortunately there is little selection for LP's that currently have product available. I am also aware that CannaFarms has reopened patient registration as of very recently and will have product available for sale very soon if you want to take a change on a new LP. They don't have full price lists up but say that they will be pricing at $6-12 per gram.

Considering that you have to pay for another prescription, I would recommend that that you ask your doctor to split your prescription between 2 LP's. This will give you greatest chance of finding one you like, while helping to ensure adequate availability and variety. Best of luck finding a suitable supply :)

Do you have to pay $150 every time you need a new script written for an lp? I would be asking those lp's, who obviously couldn't come through for you, to be reimbursing that fee. So when it is all said and done, if your next choice pans out, and there is no guarantee it will, you will have spent $450 to get there? Wow...that's quite a bit of meds if you're on a fixed income.

Unfortunately I live in Alberta and going through Greenleaf medical clinic was my only option. The Dr. won't split scripts. She did my change from PN to mettrum for free but said that was a one time thing. Fortunately for myself, and I know it's not the case for everyone, I am able to work so I'm not on a fixed income. Cannabis is what allows me to keep working. That being said I have no idea how people on assisted living or disability could afford the prices the doctors and lps charge. I can't really afford it. It ones on my visa and I pay it down a bit at a time but in the end I will definitely be in the negatives unless it starts being covered by insurance or they all drop their prices significantly. Ideally we would be able to grow. I priced it out. For less than a quarter of what my med cost in a year I could buy a top of the line grow tent setup with a hydro system, Led lighting, ventilation, co2 system and enough nutes for 4 years (3 cycles a year)!

I'm in Alberta as well, so I feel your pain. If you'd like, I can put you in touch with another clinic that will split scripts for you. They charge a bit more ($270), but it might save you money and hassle in the long run. There may even be cheaper clinics with docs willing to split scripts for patients. Have you tried explaining that it is an access issue with all the LP's selling out and never having product available? Signing up with multiple LP's at this stage is really the only way to ensure a steady supply, and I know that's what people have been telling their docs to get them to split scripts.

Yeah that would be awesome. What clinic did you use? I tried to explain why I wanted to split my script but they just weren't having any of it. It's just more money for them if they don't.

I'm with Mettrum (or was) and was very unhappy with their service, honesty and product. I've since applied to Delta-9 and called and left a phone message with them over a week ago. (Was on hold and they requested I leave an email, they will get back to me within 24 hrs, blah, blah, blah) So I finally heard back from them via this email. BTW, my name is not Chris, so.......sigh....

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your interest in Delta 9.

Please note at this time we have reached our maximum capacity in product that we can guarantee for our registered patients. This is in an effort to guarantee that we have a recurring supply for all of the patients that we register. We are anticipating to register more patients come December when we have the capacity to take on more patients. If you'd liked to be placed on our waiting list please contact myself at 1-855-245-1259 or respond to this email with your full name and a contact number.

You can still download our Registration Application form A and our Medical Document form from our website. I have attached each document to this email for you to print out and complete at your convenience. Completing and submitting these forms will allow us to process your file more quickly when we have the capacity to take on additional clients.

I have attached a copy of our product catalogue for you to view at your convenience. The catalogue includes the strains we offer, their cannabinoid profile, the price as well the potential medical benefits and potential treatments for each strain.

Our Compassionate Pricing Program is a 50% discount on any of the products in our selection. We currently have 27 varieties of strains in development and more to come. To become part of this program, we will first be needing a copy of a 2013 T1 Tax Summary document or the 2013 Notice of Assessment, if you are on disability we will need a copy of proof by a disability form/document (I believe it’s a T5007), along with a copy of your ATP or Medical Document to be able to see the quantity of cannabis required.
Once received our Compassionate Pricing Committee will review the information given and come to a decision. We would then contact you and discuss their decision. Our committee's decisions are based on the goal of helping as many patients as possible based on the quantities that we have available. Each request is reviewed on a case by case basis. Please note that since we are a brand new company that just opened, we can only do so much to help subsidize. Therefore I can see the committee being able to do around 1.5 to 3 grams a day at 50%. (If you’re granted more, that’s fantastic.). As we grow the program will grow.

Thus far, the average subsidy provided has been 1-3 grams per day of the total grams per day prescribed.

If you are not approved for the program, Delta 9 also offers a quantity discount of $1.00 off a gram per day, if willing to purchase your full monthly prescription (minimum 30 gram required).

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Gillian Bridges

Wow...why is it that when I open up my monthly issue of high times or skunk magazine I see acres and acres of marijuana growing indoors in Colorado. What? Is it to cold up here or something? How in the fuck is anyone to be expected to wait until December for their medicine? How is this even remotely reasonable access? You need to send a copy of that email to Conroy. I can't wait for this to bullshit to be all over.

,,,,you placed an order with an LP and your script cannot be filled until December and you can't do anything else until then?

I'd be talking to a lawyer and taking someone to court right quick. It's your health after all we're talking about.
OR Does the LP feel it's ok that you have to wait until then as you are not really sick?!?!

I'd be sending off an email to a lawyer asap myself. Then I'd be setting up shop for my health.

13 LPs can't even supply 5000 people consistently? HC is so fucked in court. Quick better approve some more LPs! Or allow them to continue to buy MMAR buds! Or quick import a few hundred kgs from Holland!

who is getting the supply HC stashed anyway.
How good is 100000 pounds of shwag PN meds after all this time?. It was shit to begin with lol. It's not even good for land fill now.

With all this compassionate pricing talk going on maybe I should do that with my store and those who still have valid ATP/PPL. Prove that you're on low income and disability and I'll sell you all gear/nutes at say 15-20% over cost.

imo hc should have not allowed sales for 1.5 - 2 yrs until the lp have enough medicine to supply for a yr.

I agree with this issue. Big time. These guys that started with small quantities of a large number of strains are not offering medicine - they're just doing market testing.

Who is Conroy and why should I sent it to him? A pro legalization lawyer in BC? Saw his website but......? Is he the leader of our fight?
