I am starting a grow, I have 5 plants as of now under my 250,1 of which i started a long time ago under a reg 60w light until i got my 250.which is lookin real good and bushy at about 8 in. the rest are about 2- 3 in. I am now wondering if i should plant some more, i dont want to be dissapointed if i turn out to get just 1 or 2 females. Could I start out with 10 plants n when come time to flower get rid of a few females if I turn out to get alot. or what to do im lost. On top of that if i do end up getting about 5 females if i plant 10, then when should i turn them over to flower so my plants will get enuff light and dont get too big to yeild good bud?.

Hope you all understand my questions, thank you in advance for you responses!:joint:

hello mr. smith

if i were you, i would GET 4 females GOING until they have 6-8 nodes... I would then clone the LADIES.... 3 from each plant.. then let the plants grow for 3-5 more days (let them recover from cloning.... the flower DEM biotchs....

4 SHORT plants will be a LOT for a 250..

THEN when your 12 clones are rooted, I would flower 8 of them under another 250-400 watt bulb....

NOW you have 12 plants flowering and 4 rooted clones that you can grow for another 3-4 weeks to get a shit load of more clones....

kapeesh ?

If i dont want short small yeilds is growing 5 plants now then cloning a couple when they turn out to be female possible. I am hoping to get at least a few oz s, my plant is prolly like 12 in by now and the rest are at about 5 . i think i will let the other grow till 10 in, then flower them all, then see sex then clone n do the process all over again. is this plausable?

imo...the problem u will run into by growing 5 4-foot plants under a 250W light is light penetration... with a light that size its much better to grow shorter bushier plants than to try to grow the monsters.. like i said, just an opinion, i'm not an expert

yes.. i agree.... you will not get jack.. from a 250 watt lamp on 5 foot plants..

however.... you can grow all your plants until they have 4-6 nodes (about 3-6 inches tall)

then flower them.... once the plants show their sex, clone the lower branches... you will probably be able to get 2-4 clones per plant...

the plant in the attached picture was cloned at day 14 (after germination).. it was 4 inches tall with 4 nodes.... it gave 3+ ouncs of herb + 2 amazing clones...

2 of the pictures are at day 12 ... 2 days before flowering was induced.... the other picture was a few days after harvest :)

get the book.. it is awesome :) http://seemorebuds.com/book.php

deja vue all over again. All you want is a couple oz per plant. Sound good. you won't be able to do that with a 250 watt light. You need to read some journals folks have posted in this forum, many of them have pictures. VV

it depends the strain as well. i have 2 maple leaf indicas growing under a 600 hps in a hydroponic grow. the stalks are the size a sucking oak tree and they look like they might blow the frickin roof off the house. if possible veg under the 250 mh and flower under a 600 hps.

So GARDEN KNOWN - am I correct in understanding that at day 16, they put those baby plants under a 12on 12off routine and 60 days later they have buds?

Grow fewer plants. GEt more off of them.

You could have two females...with teh 250 and some side cfls you could get 4 ounces easy if the strain is a producer.
