How many plants for this SOG grow? (looking to use up old seed stock)

Ok im looking to use up all my leftover beans that ive got over the last few grows.

i just got a package with 17 beans in it...

plus an assortment of leftovers from past grows.


i was wondering how many plants i should attempt to squeeze in under 2 600w hid lights if i use 1 gallon pots.

Right now theres enough room to fit about 10-12 3gal pots under both lights (i dont have an exact measurement of the space at this time) to give you an idea of the space.


im looking to plant 13 white widows (seedsman), 1 ceres orange bud, 1, ch9 jack 33, 1 femaleseeds bubblegummer, 1 femaleseeds c99 hybrid, 1 kannabia big bang, 1 kannabia white domina, 3-4 ghs big bang (hate that damn strain but i wanna use them up)

and maybe some bagseed to fill in space.

how many plants would some experienced sog growers suggest?

since gallon pots are about 6inches you can get four pots per sqft. hope this helps you out

Growing seeds in a sog is not typical, so i do not know how many answers you will get to this. But i do know that if you flower these too early you will likely stress them and get hermies. Seedlings need a certain amount of time to become a plant before they can flower or they will stress and likely have negative results.
That being said i know a guy that grows 34 plants in a 4x4 tub and does it with seedlings, more seeds than you can count. So you could in theory (based on a 4x4 for each 600 although that is slightly large imo) do like 72 plants you could get 2 more since he has a couple openings in the tubs for pumps.

i have a few 1 gal pots already...the top of the pot is larger (circumference) than the bottom of the pot...i dont see 4 of them fitting in a square foot...thats just me..

im asking because i need to figure how many more 1 gal pots i need to purchase. right now i have all my space filled with about 11 3gal pots (not touching each other as this grow wasn't SOG) but no more than 4-6in apart.

if i run out of "name brand" seeds (from actual breeders) i do have about 200 mystery sativa (bagseed) beans to fill in the space.

i understand that by starting with seed i'll need to veg for about 2 weeks correct?

I'm also flowering from seed early and from what I understand it is okay to do, not ideal but it is okay.

This depends on a few things, first what do you consider veg? the day you plant the seed (or germinate), the day it pops out of the soil, or when it actually gets real leaves. Second of course is strain, you have good strong genetics you should be pretty good, you got these from nirvana, i would veg them for a month from when it gets its first real leaves. But i know how badly nirvanas strains could hermie and ruin a whole garden.

i consider veg to start once the seedling has come up above the soil. (ie when it has only the two tiny leaves on the stem).

yeah genetics seem solid as i havent read too many complaints about the seedsman genetics...the rest are well...an experiment on my part. by the way...i dont have any nirvana beans...the ww is seedsman.
