How many plants will FIT?!

ALright, i need some answers. how many plants will fit and have enough room to flower.

This is a 5ft tall cab. 2.5 ft deep and about 3ft wide.

professional statements would be grateful.

one big motherfucker if you cut out that middle part. or two smaller ones if you dont.

Im working with some what the same space you are I jus grew a big ass plant with 2 large colas , my nex wun in aiming for about 6-8 small plants...what kina lights u using?

Thats a nice dresser!! depending on if you want to grow one big ass plant or multiple small plants (SOG).. DrBud on IC runs 16 plants per square feet and gets nice results.. Not much yield per plant (7-10gs) but he harvests 3 a week.. I'm just a noob, but there's plenty of threads that you can get plenty of ideas.. Good luck!!

I have two 24" Light of America 17watt florescent lights each putting out 1020 lumens 84CRI 4200K temp

And in the middle of the two I have 18" florescent "daytime" bulb. Not sure on the wattage or the lumens, I don't have the paper on it infront of me atm

Actually its a TV stand that has no other use, rather than throwing it out, I'm converting it to grow with. It has a drawer at the bottom, which I'm thinking about removing the plank in between to put the plants into the drawer instead. Also, it has like a mini shelf at the top thats about 4-5" high.

If u plan on doing multiple plants your gonna need more light or atleast higher wattages ....what u got going for ventilation?

you could cut holes into the bottom drawer area and hang your pots there that would give you maximum height and would look stealthy if you keep the drawer there too. you could do lots of things with that space really.

You're gonna need more light. Tons more. Like atleast 150+ watts more than what you already have. And for plants, I would put between 6-15 in there. For extra credit, you could do a perpetual and harvest a 4th of your plants every two weeks. But for that you'll need a separte veg area and a mom for clones (PCs are great for this purpose).

OK, so I'm investing in new lights but with money tight and limited knowledge in electricity, I'm not sure on what to get. I think the best way is for CFL, but not exactlly sure on how to mount and power them. I was looking into HPS but having the same problem, how would I mount and power it?


With the cab I'm planning on putting two fans, input and output. And then putting a carbon filter on the output, while a air cleaner on the input (I don't want bugs or anything)

You think I'll need to put a door on it? Its going straight into a closet anyway, but I don't want mold growing on anything in there (my clothes).

I see alot of possibilities, but I can't really decide. The plants that are going to go in there just starting to sprout their second set of leaves, so time is closing in!!


Edit: So I'm planning on buying CFLs for the cab. I'm going to get 40-42w CFL x4. And attach them to the corners of the cab with lamp clamp fixtures, While in the middle i will have the 18" florescent in the middle. I'm also getting a timer for the lights and a spraybottle/mister today while I'm at the store.


Currently my babies are on 24hr. light should I start adding darkness in a week? I was planning on doing a smooth transition to 12hr darkness, by adding one hour of darkness everyweek. But since it seems like my kids are a little slow, should I wait on it?

Sounds good bro now were talking sufficient wattages ...if your gonna put tha hole thing into a closet then u don't really needa door jus mabe hang some sheets or something 2 seal out n e light leaks it may have ..as for tha seedlings u can gradually introduce tha dark period over a period going from 24/0 to 20/4 to 18/ to 16/8 &| so on ...u can keep it on 24 light for another week or so but the dark period helps with root development for tha plant...I like ur ideas man reminds me of myself building my grow cab lols im keeping an eye on this wun im intrigued too see the end results!

My cab is 73 x 73 cm right now I have a atami wilma system with only 4 x 11L pots, Im considering doing a flood & drain grow though.
