So you got 30 plants in 5 gal pots and you have no clue about lighting - you have it all backwards. get your room, lights, nutes, venting, cooling, odor control, etc all sorted BEFORE you plant 30 plants in 5 gal pots.

... and you only want half pound per plant, complete fucktard.
I'm going to have to ask you to refrain from personal attacks on other users. especially ones out of nowhere with no provocation. to everyone who responded to this post and returned fire-I'm also going to have to ask you to refrain from personal attacks as well. i know he started it but please just ignore him and report his personal attacks if he keeps doing it.

not that it's bad. it just makes it hard to get them all dialed in. different strains will grow at different rates, require different nutrient levels, even like different temps and humidity.
i find that Sativa dominant strain can handle higher temp and humility in flower

i'd go with atleast 30k watts for 30 plants, maybe a little more if i was gonna use 600's or run them in a huge hydro set up.

i would like to see that grow
1 plant under a 1000w light in a bubble system x 30, you should pull 450-900 oz's dry

vertical stadium grow. circling 1000W bulbs in cool tubes. everyday just give each plant a 1/4 turn. get away with a lot less wattage, by upping your efficiency. not, repeat, not, speaking from experience. just conjured it up, but i like it.

Man 8oz off each plant.30 Plants your gonna need a big room at least 15x15 with 10 foot ceilings. You'll want to veg these if in soil for like 4 months. I would say go with 1000 watt lights and 8 to 10 ballasts... Your looking at probably spending about $600 or more a month on electricity.Another $150 on water no idea on nute probably few hundred per grow. Then you need all the goodies hoods, fans, glass, dehumidifier, a/c.. I would think to get your goal you should be able to do it for just under 20grand in costs.

scroh he would never get his 8 oz dry per plant goal in your idea setup as you grow small and many in that setup.

i do not think the strains you have chosen are high yielding strains and not the best for growing large plants

getting 8 oz from each plant will need at least a 400watt light per plant 30x 400watts is 12kw lol that's quite a large electricity bill /footprint
you might want to consider using a screen for each plant to train it into an area that the 400w will cover well
flowering a plant at 3ft you can end up with plants over 6ft without training, this will produce lots of popcorn lower buds if you do not remove
lower branches or use some lower lighting an 8 oz plant is a fairly large plant that will require more space than 2x4 oz plants or 3x 3oz plants

growing 30x 8 oz plants will take up a large space, since large plants will spread out
something like 12x12 ft will be needed
with the right sativa strains, haze hybrids, you can yield over 16 oz from a plant with about 5-6 weeks of veg

peace :)

Listen, i still dont know WHAT i am missing but you guys report incredibly low numbers. My mentor just did 2 ounces short of 4 lbs on his last grow. We did the trimming and hanging ourselves trust me. This time around he reduced the number of plants from 12 to 10 and made some adjustments. We dont see how he is going to do LESS than 5lbs this time from the pictures... oh wait.. i actually have some of the pics. 4 weeks into flowering to the day. Here they are.
imagejpeg_2_74.jpgimagejpeg_2_75.jpgimagejpeg_2_75.jpg

I am saying all this to say: i dont see why the yields that people report on this site are always so low. Those pictures are his current grow under 2 1000 watt lights and its 10 plants in 10 in pots of organic soil. He uses nutrients from a local hydro store that i cant name b/c it has our location in the name. But other than that he uses bat guano, Preposterous Phosphorous, and organic tea. His buds are like gunpowder. People say its like getting hit in the head with a bat, this grow is Exodus Cheese, and Cheese.
If the O.P. doesnt mind growning trees and can implement an easier way to water other than manually. ( my mentor likes to water manually with a pump and kinkless hose, i dont know why) he can easily do the numbers he is saying with enough space. This 24k watts talk is just garbage. I am running an experiement in 4 aquamist style systems each under 400watts of lights and i expect 3-4 lbs per grow room in a perpetual setup.

Call me a dick BUT it seems like yer only gonna get busted, robbed or start a fire with this project. Spend some more time learning and practicing on the bunny slope before you try the X- Games ramp.
Why do you need so much herb at one time?

i like what im reading here i think i can pull it off i got the room for this grow got the money for the light, bills, etc im even gonna pick up co2 to run when i flip the light and i was gonna do this in 2 different rooms 12x12 both rooms and all the plants are keeping pace with each other in growth and height im gonna do 36 plants instead of 30 now because im a caregiver for 3 patients 12x3 so well see the outcome hopefully i reach my goal of 15lbs ill let you guys know what happens.

lots of folk here grow little lolipop indicas, lots of small soil plants, those pictures you posted look like sativa or haze plants
that will obviously get large and yield much more

check out this thread from some haze plants i grew a few months back https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/458333-mr-nice-angel-heart-v.html
the largest plant yielded over 20 oz (600 grams)

if you guys get 5lbs. of 2,000w then you are at just over 1gpw. that's impressive and what most of the seasoned growers that measure that way are shooting for. so if the op needs 15lbs. then he will need to triple the lighting. 6,000w. add in beginner error and it's more like 8,000w.
