yea keep them lights close or it will keep streatchin and do ya have a fan on it,,, if you dont it will end up falling over the fan blowing on it helps strengthen the stem... dont stare into your lights:dunce: my light is like 45-55,000 lumens and i accidentally look into it now and then, that shit is blinding

lol yah man those shits are bright!

OK, so i had some trouble this morning!
My plant, as pictured previously, was placed in the center of the two lights.
This morning, i wake up and its bent over like a broke dick at almost 90 degrees trying to bend towards the light on the right as opposed to just stay in the middle of both of them.
why is this?
pics attattched:

but it isnt all bad news though. the second pair of leaves are at least 1.5 times large than they were only hours ago the night i fixed up my set up.

also in the pictures, i had already moved my pot off to the side in hopes itll bend back the opposite direction so it straightens out.
[i'm also loggin all this in my grow journal too]

alright so what i've gone ahead and done is pile up more soil. you can see there is about 2 inches all around the pot that could be more filled up. so i filled it up and gently packed the soil around my baby to where itw ould stand straight up.

now his stem is straight up and his leaves are pointing 90 degress some where else, but hopefully with the lights he'll straighten back up. also, i guess its good to pile up the soil more so itll kinda get rid of some of the stretching that occured when he was a baby.

now my baby is like 2 or 3 inches tall.

Yup thats the right thing to do, and it will definatley sort its self out as it gets used to the new lights

sweet.
i'm gonna go off and by a small desk fan, hopefully one with hi med lo settings.
The ceiling fan i've got in the room is pretty darn powerful though, i mean when it is on medium the lil baby is swayin' gently... but i guess i'll go ahead and get a dedicated fan for it.

i'm still prayin its a female.

anyone have a clue why it bent over like that towards one of the lights even tho it was in the middle and the two lights were the same?

How far are the bulbs appart from each other? maybe it the change of light at a young stage made it fuk up a little? i really don't know tho, it should of grown upwards paerfectly, strange..

the bulbs have this Y splitter which parts them at 45 degress. i tried to center the baby as best as i could and keep it about 2 inches away in any direction from the lights.
the only thing i can think of is that maybe even tho i tried to center it as best i could, it may have been closer to the light on the right and therefore gone towards it.

but its weird, 'cause i read here in riu that the CFL give more light from their sides than their tops so thats why i got the Y splitters too... so it would make sense that the plantw ould stay where it was cause it was in the middle of the two CFL's sides.
meh, i donno!
i'll see what happens in a few hours when it hopefully is pointing straight up again.

BTW, its two "daylight" 6,500K 23 watt 1,600 lumen (each) CFLs.
i hope its not over kill for my lil baby!

Yea thats the only thing i think it could be, maybe because the stem is so thin it just picked a bulb to lean to and did that#?? but ive never heard of this before, and thats right about the light coming out of the sides of the bulbs, and its not overkill you can never have enough cfl lights i dont think, and you will have to add some as it gets bigger i think

cool.
i just bought a small box fan. on its low setting its like blowin my baby around like a tornado or somethin, so i set it farther away. supposedly this makes the baby stronger. i think i'll keep the fan on during the day and at night when i wanna sleep i'll turn it off.
anywho...
i guess i'll update with more pics tonight or tomorrow morning.

here are some pics from my first "Project Green"
My buddy and I had NO idea how close lights should be and we had NO idea what the light schedule should be. so you're going to see thin ass plants with, what i think is, lots of stretching.
anywho

due to "issues" my buddy had to cut all the shit down. Its all good though, it was a big learning experience.

I know it might not make sense to be able to tell this early, but i noticed today that at the first set of leaves, there are two little "hairs" that come out kinda like the pics of the females i've seen on this website.
I took 2 pics. It isnt the highest resolution, but hopefully you can still see.

Tell mw what you think

So i've been told fish emulsin is good during veg state.
I've got some fish emulsion, its 5-1-1.
My baby is about 3 weeks old total (but it has only been under lights for 2 weeks for 24/7. the first week it was on a window sill)

Ya'll think its 'bout time for fish emulsion?

Also, is it any good during flowering?

What if my baby gets used to food during veg, will it stunt growth or shock my baby during flowering if it doesnt receive food?

you wanna get something diffrnt for flowering something like a 1-4-4 or just with a lower first number and if you wanna start feeding do it at 1\4 strength and slowly increse by quarter every other feeding and stop feeding a week b4 switching to 12\12 and give it a quick flush
