How much did your first grow yield?

the top of mount Washington now I imagine its cold on the top of there today. but ya what your saying makes since but one person on here made it sound like hes getting several oz's all the sudden as opposed to 1 with the same strain. now that sounds very rare. I would like to find a strain that produces more then a quarter oz with cfl because I haven't had good luck I get a half at most and I can smoke that in a week not to say that it isn't good ive grown shit that tastes and looks and smells like 50$ 8th shit with just cfls but the yield is never enough. you spend 75$ on supplys missing lights nutes soil pots ect and the most you get 150$ worth of bud. the only thing ive done this time is add more cfls so im working with about 400w instead of 170 and the strain isn't the same its a seed from outdoor stuff but its really starting to stink . ive tried so far some phase and nl a Buddha strain and a purple cross and they all yielded alil under a half dry the nl strain was outdoors once and I got the same lousey half.

I budded with a 600w and got 1 oz from 3 plants lmao I learned quick on that dissapointment tho

Just shy of 5 oz from a pathetic, crispy, burnt up, Mg deficient plant (lone survivor out of 30) with no methodology behind pruning or training under 1800w of HPS

I got not even a sugar leaf from my first grow lmfao
They were HUGE plants and died Im guessing from burning up

I was a stupid closet grower had only 1 extraction fan for a 400W that was pretty close to them, everything was fine until 2 weeks maybe into flower they burned up and died.
Didn't buy anything to check temps but I'm guessing it was maybe 100F+

It may have just been luck, but my first grow was this year. I grew a NL auto from Nirvana and a PE auto from Barney's and pulled almost 4oz dry combined. I used about 300 watts of CFLs with MG nutes.

this was aphaze and nl cross I believe the 89 strain and another time added mylar and did some kind of budda weed got like 11.9 g out of that this last time other time alil over 9g on the nl p haze.

I used fox farm soil and I used alil guano the first time mixed in water the 2nd time with the budda stuff used the big bloom nute.

still the yields don't seem to be high.

This time im just using miracle grow soil and more watts and the big bloom with guano mix we will have to see from the look of it the plant is getting taller but its not bushy has been topped twice but seems like only a couple of colas leaves aren't real wide mostly long and skinny

6 oz from two plants. One 3.1 oz, the other 2.9 oz. I ran a very conservative grow and kept on top of everything. I also listened to the pros here and welcomed their help. I did not try to yield 2 pounds. I just focused on getting to harvest. Best experience EVER.

about a pound. and i smoked it all in one day. psych...first grow was a success even though i did't know wtf i was doing. ii got hooked then and the rest as they say is history.

Just over a half pound. Was the late 80's. Used a 400 hps. Skunk bag seed. Peters 10-30-20 and cheap walmart potting mix.

My first grow/s...god damn I don't even know if I should count my first attempts at growing,(I had the worst luck with snail and birds Outdoors and overfeeding and power failures Indoors), I had like 8 plants that either died, got killed, or ripped off..... WELL!!! MY FIRST SUCCESSFUL GROW WAS JUST LAST YEAR. FINALLY UNDISTURBED!!!!! I grew bagseed from herb that i got. 707 Truth and OMG Cheese. FFOF Soil. 600w mh and 1000w hps. Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, Cha Ching, Molasses, Monster Bloom, and MOAB nutrients. My grow room was my bathroom i had the lights, fans, meters literally right next to my shower. I got 2oz from OMG Cheese and 1.5oz from the 707 Truth. I had to finish outdoors tho in a diferrent location cause my landlord walked in on my grow on day, but other than that it went great. Im now gonna do Haze outdoors.

Cool thread! Interesting to see. I know a lot of people started out with next to nothing budgets and a couple bagseed so I was pretty lucky.

6 plants, (4 bagseed 2 paid) in ffof under a 1000w digimax bulb, I got about 20 ounces. I'm in my second (full) harvest now and I have a much bigger tent with the same light and hood (magnum xxxl, its got a massive footprint) so I'm hoping to almost double my first harvest.

I vegged a couple of my first plants for almost 2 months, tho, and one of them wound up yielding ten ounces. The quality was the least of the group, but I was grateful to have such a good yield from that one. Fuck, that one plant had as much as my 5 other plants. It put the average around like 3 1/2 ounces. It was a well rounded crop; one plant that was super dank, a few real nice ladies and 1 or 2 good yielders. Definitely got me hooked, that's for sure.

Lilhomay, that's hilarious that actually happened to me when I set up my aeroponic system. Had rented my place for a month or two and hadn't been staying here yet. Decided to go aero and set it up I'm the bathtub. It leaked overnight and 8 am the next day the landlord was beating on the door bc it had leaked to the neighbors downstairs (and I was staying next door to the one upstairs so he knew where I was at).

When he said he could hear the water running from outside, I fumbled my words trying to explain about "the fountain I was building for my mom" (hey, it worked at Lowe's lol) but of course when I opened the door he was right on my heels going into the apartment.

I made it before him with just enough time to unplug the strip, which cut off the 4 CFLs and the pumps and stuff. He looked in the bathroom and saw the lamps and chords and shit, and he goes "what the fuck?!? Ohhhhh, its pooooot.". I was like oh fuck this nerd is gonna freak out. And then he goes "is that all? Clean this fucking water up I'm getting a fucking drink". I asked him about a week later, I was like "man are you sure everything's cool" and he's like yeah yeah. That was a month or two ago and we stay quiet and pay rent and haven't had any problems. It makes me feel better knowing that he's cool with it tho.

2 x 5 gallon bubblers with columbian Brown bagseed.
Pretty light fluffy buds, got about a ounce anda half from the both plants.
Probly cut them way early at about 13 weeks or so under those crappy old lights., Lol....
Man, So many years ago ........ If only I knew then what I know now .......

13 oz off of 3 white widow from nirvana and 1 freebie gwsxww fem cross on my tight budget. after that grow the upgrades began and are still happening to this day lol.

my first run was with a 250 hps in a 2x3x7 closet 5 plants 3 gallon pots got me 4 oz of lowest end Mid meds and my best looking bud was totally rotted out in the middle strains all from Nirvana blue mystic(best of the bunch) master kush ( bud rot no trics was shit in general) El dorado (best donkey dick strain I have seen decent smoke) White widow (Runt I think I over watered it and had root issues never did anything) Random bag seed (wish I had a cloned this one haha)

My first plant Flowered, I pulled 6 ounces dry then

I added Boveda62 packets to my jars for two weeks.

The weight went up one ounce overall to 7 ounces.

I am flowering under a 400 HPS, with two T5 95 watt fixtures on the sides in a 3x3x6 tent.

my second plant is at 4 weeks in Flower now.
