Ok so i have been looking for the real answer to this question for ever!

Who many hours of Direct sunlight is required per day on a plant?

The reason im asking is bc i have 12 plants spread out and certain ones get direct light for certain persons of the day where as the others get the same amount but later in the day. none of them get 12 hours of direct sunlight.

you dont need "12" hours of "direct" sunlight

but what you do need is more than 12 hours of light for the plant to veg.

it doesn't matter how many hours of "direct" sunlight but the more direct sunlight you have the more your plant will thrive

Really you want to rotate your plants, move them about so you get even light distribution on all plants.

They'll be fine man...have you ever grown tomatoes? MJ has about the same light needs and I've done fine with only 5 or 6 hours of direct light a day. I would say screw moving them around...as long as they are watered, get some good light, and have the pests kept away they'll be fine....good luck!

Most people will say they need a minimum of 5-6hrs, but I wouldn't waste my time in a spot that got any less than 8-9.

Clouds don't block the sun like a tree does. I wish it would be 75 all season, as opposed to 100ish in the summer and 75% humidity.
